We were above reception so could hear the receptionist staff talking as came up via venting room so woke us pretty early
From the moment we walked in the door we were treated really well the young man on reception was finished his shift and was walking away as we made our way in and he doubled back to ensure we had a timely check in. The service in both the dining room and bar were first class.
I didn't like the fact that we were unable to leave a tip using our credit card as cash has become a scarce commodity.
Excellent and reliable as ever. Lovely staff and comfortable room.

Stayed here many times on this occasion awful music from downstairs would have been so bad if the singer was in tune. Really needed to get some sleep but it was impossible until nearly midnight
Staff were friendly
Spa area wasn't clean. Desk wasn't manned in spa . Wash basin in bedroom was badly blocked. Breakfast finished at 9 30am but very little left at 9 am.

The bed was uncomfortable; there was a dent in the middle of the mattress.
The evening meal was very good and the service was friendly in the restaurant. There were only 2 other diners in the restaurant the evening of our stay. No customer focus from the staff on duty on our arrival.
The room was very basic given the room rate. Beds not comfortable and generally a very ‘1980’s” feeling about it. Very dated and disappointing.
Location was perfect. Walking distance from family
Room was big ! But bathroom smelt really bad had to leave fan on. To try & keep smell out of room. Decor is old & outdated. Needs refurbing.
The location was ideal for my husbands work commitments. The use of a pool and spa was ideal for me. Plenty of choice for evening meal and breakfast. Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable.
I couldn't fault the hotel or staff.
