Right next to the street, noisy since cars are passing two meters from the place you put your head to sleep. Expensive
Mooie plek, bagage service bij fietsverhuur. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, gratis thee/koffie bij de centrale zithoek in de middag. Prima kamer. Goede sfeer.

Zweckmässige, einfache moderne Unterkunft mit kleiner Lounge im Eingangsbereich. Das Zimmer war zwar klein, aber alles Notwendige vorhanden. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Bushaltestelle in unmittelbarer Nähe. Einzelne Museen sind sogar zu Fuss erreichbar.

friendly staff, very clean. its quite close to the main art locations. just a 15min walk to kusama’s yellow pumkin! and from there on you can take the shuttle bus. Love that they also cares for the stray cats❤️
Breakfast ia in the restaurant next door, they are very considerate and asks during check in your allergies and what symptons you can get. The restaurant will then make something alternative! Also, they serve very simple and comfort japanese food that you can do it yourself. Its a buffet style.
during check in they do warn you about the walls being thin and also asks you to be more quiet and considerate of your fellow guests. However, we felt like the other guests didnt care at all…
Not usually the one to write negative reviews, but wanted to share that this hotel is very noisy. You can hear people walking around and talking quite a bit. Also the staff wasn't very helpful when it came to bike rentals or other questions. One of our rooms also had a leaking AC that they couldn't fix (to be fair it happened in the evening), so we had to sleep in a soaked bed. Wouldn't recommend!

Charming, clean and comfortable, with helpful friendly staff. The Frank Lloyd Wright theming gave a stylish edge. Location is good, with an excellent Italian restaurant on the premises, and several traditional establishments within a short walk. The island shuttle bus stops nearby and runs quite frequently. We enjoyed our stay.
The breakfast included was rather disappointing.

Le bar ferme tôt (19h) et il n’y a rien a faire autour (ni commerce de proximité). Mais c’est un détail!
Breakfast overall was pretty good, one of the main reasons why I picked this hotel was because they were one of the few places that provided breakfast in the morning.
Parking was was easy and right out in the front of the hotel.
There was some cute cats around area. We saw the owners had put out cat houses for them. My sister heard a lot of meowing early in the morning but I didn't so if you aren't a deep sleeper it might be annoying.
Overall location was decent, it was near 3 different restaurants and was a good halfway point between Tsutsuji-so and Honmura Port Area
The economy rooms and standard rooms were a modest size. It was a bit hard to find place for 1 medium sized luggage and 1 small sized luggage. I didn't see much differences in size between the economy and standard rooms, except that the economy room was on the first floor and next to the bathroom and front desk. The worse part was dragging our suitcases upstairs with no elevator. Thankfully they had someone help but it still a bit troublesome.
Only one pillow was provided.

The restaurant was phenomenal! Loved the bar in the lounge at the hotel as well. The room was spacious and had nice amenities, the tub and shower were great. I rented a bike in town and there was plenty of bike parking. Had the best time visiting Naoshima and grateful to have stayed at this lovely hotel. The restaurant was amazing for breakfast and dinner!!
No complaints. Everything was fine. Wish my trip was longer! I booked the hotel and practiced my Japanese and was excited to check in, but they only spoke to my wife after they found out she had a Japanese phone number and address. That was a little embarrassing for me, since it caused some friction with my wife who wanted me to do all the talking and handle everything. Otherwise everyone was very nice and welcoming.
