Overall I was thinking of coming back to the same hotel.
Pros:

I like the location as it is central to the main township.unfortunatrly we have to come back to Auckland early.

Cons:

A long trip back to Auckland.

Location definitely. Walking distance to restaurant in the township for family event.

Cons:

Cleanliness in general was poor in both room and downstairs bar. Recognized when booking it would be old and a slice of NZ yesteryear. This however does not account for lack of Cleanliness and very tired bedding that is past its use by date.

What we liked:
The hotel is centrally located in Feilding.

What could have been better:
Although the listing mentions a bar, casino, nightclub and live entertainment, we had not appreciated that the accommodation was situated above the bar or that check-in would take place inside it.

To reach the check-in area, we passed the toilets, where we could hear someone being sick. The bar had a strong smell of beer, and we felt very uncomfortable entering with our daughter.

We were given two keys: one for a locked access door leading to the accommodation area and another for our rooms. The additional security may reassure some guests, but in the circumstances it added to our unease rather than relieving it.

The building appeared old and run-down, and we saw visible signs of damp. The rooms were reasonably similar to the photographs in their basic contents, but the lighting in the photographs made them appear considerably warmer and more inviting than they felt in person. In reality, we found them cold, cramped and dated, with a rather institutional, dormitory-like atmosphere. A small bar heater was provided in each room, but the heaters were not on when we arrived and the rooms felt very cold and unwelcoming.

After seeing the rooms and the wider property, we did not feel comfortable staying or having our daughter sleep in a separate room. We returned the keys through the designated key-return box and left immediately, choosing to pay for alternative accommodation elsewhere.
As we did not stay overnight, we cannot comment on the beds, noise levels or other overnight facilities. However, the exterior photographs and overall presentation of the listing did not, in our view, adequately represent the condition or atmosphere of the property. We were extremely disappointed and would not book this accommodation again.

Pros:

Easy location that was needed. Could not hear the pub as our room was on the other side. Had a heater in the room which is needed in the winter:

Cons:

The cleaner unlocked and open our door at 9am and did the same for friends at 9.45. Ideally knock and wait, plus it was not over check out time.

It was only one night but it was a good price and very convenient for our need that night.
Pros:

Location for us was great. The people who greeted us were so friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Would have been nice to have had a removable shower nozzle.

Pros:

I liked having a microwave and heater and sink in the room. The shower was wonderful.

Cons:

The electric blanket in the double bed had a a big lump and a cord in the middle of the bed so I had to sleep in the single bed which was comfy but squeaked a lot. The toilet had a lot of water on the floor.

Old, tired barely adequate accommodation.
Pros:

Very central to the town centre.

Cons:

The building was"tired" and in need of maintenance. The bedroom and bathroom areas were not clean.
If there had have been a fire, I would have jumped out the window, rather than have risked the rotten wooden fire escape.
