Friendly, English speaking hotel next to Wakayama castle
Pros:

The owner was lovely and super friendly. Waited for me to arrive (late), suggested that I park and lock my bike inside, and made some funny jokes. :)
He spoke very good English.
Hotel is a business hôtel, built 40 years ago. It's like going back in the bubble era, nothing much has changed since then, even the elevator had a retro feel to it.
Great location just next to the Wakayama castle.

Cons:

Facility is a little old but honestly for this price, it's great value for money.
