Important information:

Please note that from 1 October until 1 April, the restaurant and snackbar are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Check-in is possible on 26 December but please note that the kitchen/restaurant will be closed on that day.

Hotel is closed on Christmas and Boxing Days, and guests can check in up to 18:00 on 24th December.

Pros:

Wir hatten ein geräumiges und sauberes Zimmer.Der Kühlschrank zur allgemeinen Nutzung ist klasse, genauso wie die Lage der Unterkunft. Nicht mitten im Trubel aber alles fußläufig erreichbar .
Wir hatten einen gebrochen Duschschlauch. Dieser wurde auf Nachfrage sofort ersetzt.
Überhaupt ist das Personal sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Den hohen Außentemperaturen geschuldet (35°) war es im Zimmer sehr warm (Dachgeschoss mit Südseite)
Es gab deshalb einen Ventilator im Zimmer., So heiß ist ja nicht immer.

Giethoorn is a great place to visit and d'Olde Smidse has everything required to make the stay great
Pros:

The breakfast was fantastic. There is also a restaurant/bar that provides beautiful meals. The proprietor and staff were very helpful and friendly. The staff also knew all the best places to go and see.

Mycket bättre än vad vi förväntade oss.
Pros:

Mycket bra personal - service minded! Rent och snyggt, bra frukost med bland annat nybakade frallor och färsk pressad juice.

It is small family business. The breakfast was good. The owner was perfect, explain each "small things" needed for our best time. I recommend this small hotel

Cons:

The rooms are on second floor without lift - it is some difficult to bring the baggage. I do not ask help - possible the owner help to raise the baggage
