Peaceful location. Large grounds, great for walking. Super close to the airport and car rental return. Comfy beds and well outfitted room. Breakfast in the sun room was lovely and had a great selection. Dinner at the restaurant was also good.
The buildings are a bit of a hodge-podge, and the upstairs is a little stuffy. Front desk could have been more helpful and explained about breakfast, etc.
The spa and pool was a nice addition for swim and spa treatments. They have a good restaurant and bar menu enjoyed my lunch and dinners there. Beautiful property on several acres, be sure to request executive room if you want A/C and nicer rooms on spa side of hotel. Staff were great and very helpful.

Beautiful setting, comfortable rooms, excellent dinner. Perfect location for an early flight (next to the airport, but we could not hear the planes). Unfortunately we did not have time to try the spa facilities

We were let down by a different hotel that day, so luckily booked this one.
They gave us a free room upgrade to their Edinburgh suite, which was absolutely fantastic.
The staff were always happy to help, room service food was lovely, breakfast had a substantial menu with many options, there was controllable mood lighting in the room, a wireless phone charger, the bathroom was insane, it had a massive balcony, but our favourite thing of all - our Highland Cow Clyde.
A part of the uniqueness of the hotel was having our own personal Highland Cow in our room to be used if we didnt want room service. There was the option to buy him, so we did! (Please note it is not a real cow).

The ONLY thing that could have been better and this is only a tiny preference, is the TV not offering apps. Unfortunately nowadays its expected to have apps available on TVs such as Netflix etc
However, this did not ruin our stay at all, and in some ways forced us to enjoy other things outside of Netflix!

The beds. Not comfy. Way too hard. Seems to be like that in all three places we are staying at in Scotland.
We loved the breakfast and talked about it during our whole trip. We actually stayed twice, one night at the beginning of our trip, and one at the end. The second stay, our room was upgraded to a suite and the room was incredible. The dinners were also some of the best we had and the restaurant staff were so incredibly kind and friendly. The grounds were also incredibly lovely. We couldn't have possibly found a better stay so near the airport.
Both rooms were incredibly warm. While we know that the weather wasn't typical of Edinburgh while we were there, and we completely understand that air conditioning is not possible, it might be a good idea to have portable fans when temperatures rise outside.
