The food was first class 😋
Location wise good, lovely staff and a hearty dinner in the restaurant.
We were top floor (level 3) no lift (it’s a heritage building) and the attic bedroom has a very angled and low ceiling (a few head bumps for tall folk) but it all added to the charm.
lovely friendly and helpful staff and dinner was amazing
Unfortunately there was no breakfast included in my price, I incorrectly assumed at £144 for Bed and Breakfast, that breakfast would be included, Also the decor and furniture and fabric of the hotel and rooms is very dated and needs huge investment to completely upgrade the entire building, The shower in my room is dangerous due to where the water can run to ie through badly seal joints and junctions to live electric cables below, The windows were so small I felt closterphobic the entire time I was in the room, (Room 14), the width of glazing in the window was 2 strips at 5 inches wide , It would have been virtually impossible to escape through this window in a fire if the other accesses were blocked, Also cushions on bed were dirty and did not smell fresh, The TV was pointing towards the floor so it was very difficult to view it easily
The property was easy to find and access. The car parking was a plus as we were travelling with a rental car. The staff were fabulous and gave us some great recommendations for the rest of our journey.
Nil
Good basic hotel. Easy to get to and good walking distance in to town
Room small, especially being 6 feet tall the eves were an issue. Bathroom tired.
Close to station
Clean comfortable beds
Nice to have it cleaned for second night
Very friendly staff couldn’t do enough for you
Nice touch to able to pre order a snack despite not arriving until 21.00pm
Staff especially Siobhan the breakfast lady who enjoyed the crack especially when I couldn’t see the sugar packets when they were under my eyes as they say and arrange to store my luggage until later in the day
Many thanks
For someone of my age not having a lift
Great hotel just a little outside the city centre. We didn't have breakfast included but we did have lunch on he second day (Saturday) and it was amazing (the burgers were to die for). The staff were every welcoming and were even more understanding, when 2 of our group get themselves into a little bother when getting back into the hotel during the later hours on the night (their fault and nothing to do with the hotel).
This is highly recommended to anyone looking for a long weekend away in Inverness.
To be fair, not much as the hotel and staff were right up there. If I am honest, I was a little apprehensive before getting to the hotel but after the first night, we all know this was a great choice for our trip away.
Everything went well except the stairs breakfast nice supper was good
The stairs up to our room but the staff was very helpful and delivered our cases
Nothing
Not a very modern hotel for the cost.
Dinner was lovely, especially the Cullen Skink soup !!
Room was lovely, they upgraded us to a larger room as we were staying for a few days, which was a nice gesture. All of the staff without exception were friendly, helpful and seemed genuinely lovely people. Great location 20 minute walk into centre was ideal for us
The garden needed a tidy up, lots of cigarette ends everywhere and a little tired. Otherwise all good
gemütlich eingerichtet, hauseigene Sportsbar, super nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal, auch immer gesprächig
El personal fue agradable y el desayuno q cuenta con varias opciones fue excelente
Es muy antiguo
There were signs of improvements since a previous stay, staff seem to be more confident and attentive. From there outside at least the hotel was looking better. There was a lot of flags and bunting around the hotel and inside the sports bar owing to the Football World Cup 2026.
Evening meal was very good. Enjoyed some drinks at the bar. All reasonably priced.
Breakfast was available early and a discount was offered to book the night before.
The ensuite needs attention. Peeling paint, dirty silicone/peeling silicone. No safety suction mats in shower over bath. No safety rail/grab rail to prevent slip and fall. Hand soap dispenser was broken. Bath plug chain broken. The bedroom itself was otherwise satisfactory.
Centrally located, very clean and welcoming.
Nothing.
