Great hotel in the best location

Een leuke stad waar je prima 2 / 3 dagen kan verblijven.

Locatie was super! Kamer was goed schoon.

Very disappointing
Pros:

Location of this hotel is ideal - very close to the mercado which has great places to eat, and also less than five minutes to the wonderful Centro Botin. However, I would not class this hotel as 4 star.

Cons:

This hotel was very disappointing and it is highly unusual for me to give negative feedback. The room was fine but standard of maintenance and cleaning was not up to standard. The carpet in the hallway was filthy with staining and littered with what looked like loose bits of white plaster which was not cleared up in the three days we spent there. The air conditioning in our room did not work (and weather was very warm). We advised Reception who brought us an electric fan as no other room was available. She did make sure that we were given a different room the following morning which was appreciated and was very apologetic, so I have no complaint as far as her help was concerned. However, generally the standard of the hotel was poor with a torn curtain in our new room, chipped paint on the legs of the small stool in the bathrooms, chipped paintwork in the stairway around the lifts and inefficient ventilation in bathrooms. A disappointing end to our three week trip to northern Spain - this was the only hotel which did not live up to expectation.
