Friendly staff, plenty of space, good location
It’s obviously being improved so at the moment it looks a bit run down
Good location, right in the heart of the Cairngorms. My single room was upgraded to a double, which was nice. Tasty breakfast but lacking a variety. Helpful and friendly staff.

The bed was not comfortable at all, the toilet didn't flush ( had to use lots of force), shower didn't drain fast enough so had to watch not to flood the whole bathroom.
This hotel was perfect for our family. Rooms are clean & comfortable. Location is great. Staff goes above & beyond.

Le petit déjeuner était simple, mais bien servi et varié. Le personnel était sympathique, et l'accueil tout à fait bien.
Les chambres sont assez vétustes, les matelas des lits assez inconfortables, pas vraiment de lumière dans la chambre sauf un plafonier et une seule lampe sur pied dans une chambre pour cinq personnes. Pas une chaise ou un fauteuil pour s'asseoir.
Such an easy place to find. The staff were extremely friendly. Even offered to help us if we had luggage up to the room (I’ve never stayed anywhere that’s offered this).
The room was more than enough to fit my family of five, had individual bottles of water for us, plenty of teas and coffees. Downstairs has a bar and restaurant, I didn’t use this as I was tired but the food was smelling lovely. Breakfast was a hot buffet and continental again everything was lovely. I’d definitely recommend for a family to stay.
Excellent location in the village centre. I was upgraded to a double room. It was a nice touch to have a bottle of water in the bedroom.
There were marks in the bath and black in the grouting in the tiles around the bath which is a bit off putting. It was hard to get the shower at the right temperature. It was a fixed shower head very high up, so I was very glad that I had a shower cap with me as I didn't want to get my hair wet. It was very dark outside the bedroom door with a movement light that came on, however it didn't stay on long enough to lock or unlock your door, so you were fumbling in the dark! There was a fridge in the room, however this didn't appear to be working.

Attentive and efficient staff. Like an idiot I handed in my house keys instead of the room key but they located me and helped avoid disaster, hugely thankful!
It's an old building but rooms are very clean and comfortable. Huge bathroom. Had a brilliant sleep. They are gradually updating rooms but they are keeping the charming history and character of the building intact. Brilliant cooked breakfasts if wanted.
TVs in rooms have apps for all the streaming platforms you could want.
I think it was good value for money.
All minor and did not affect my enjoyment of the stay.
Some nights the WiFi occasionally had problems for viewing TV
Small gap on the window frame meant it didn't lock shut properly.
The toilet sometimes needed multiple flushes.
I was with someone with mobility issues and they found not having a lift made it difficult getting to/from their room on first floor.
High standard of cleanliness in bedrooms with comfy beds. Staff very friendly and efficient.

The staff and manager couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Very helpful and friendly. The food was lovely, Indian food was excellent. We had a great time again, we stay here every year we visit for the Motorbike show.

Very, very friendly and helpful personnel, ready to go out of their way to help. Choice of various types of breakfast inkl. Vegetarian while a resteraunt is available with different evening meals.
