In an ideal spot for my walk, comfortable room away from bar so no noise. Staff were friendly, especially the lady who did breakfast
I thought £20 was pretty steep for an average breakfast
Traditional country pub in a lovely location
Having to pre order breakfast, and paying £20 per head for it was excessive.
Great location, central for Yorkshire Dales.
Accommodation adequate for short stay. Very clean and finished to a good standard. Excellent food, breakfast and evening menu.
Staff very attentive and looked after us well. Very pleasant stay.
Rooms are not visited daily. Towels, crockery and supplies only replaced when requested. Bed not good quality.
Parking on site can be an issue.
Comfortable room
No fan and window only opened a little, so a really hot and difficult night. £120 for a basic room with no breakfast and no fan is very poor value.
Location..food was excellent...
Nothing
good
Great food, lovely staff
The food in the bar was excellent.
The toilet seat in the ensuite was not the same size as the toilet, and it was impossible to keep the seat in an upright position. There was no toilet roll holder, we put it on the surface by the sink, and of course the toilet roll got wet.
An early breakfast wasn't available. 8.30 am is rather late if you are planning a full day's walking.
The staff were friendly but service was chaotic. We were meeting with friends and ate on two nights the first meal was a disaster and one meal was sent back. Second meal was much better, but overall impression was that the menu was too big and staff were over-stretched.
All felt a bit out of control.
Food , friendly staff and the location

The room was fine. Breakfast was adequate & nicely cooked
The provision of excellent homemade jam was a nice touch
The £20 charged for breakfast was excessive. For the price of the room I'd have hoped for more than just basic instant coffee sachets in the bedroom.
A well placed centrally situated inn . Food quality break fast and evening meals was good. Breakfast choices had to be ordered the night before . Staff were very helpful The rooms were fine for a 3 day stay.
