The only place to stay if you are playing golf at Carnoustie.
Pros:

If you are playing golf it really is the only place to stay. Right on the championship course. Stream, Sauna, pool and spa and nice restaurant and bar. Oozes history. Golf clubhouse, pro shop and staff all fantastic.

Cons:

Nothing I didn’t like.

Staff super friendly, hotel was nice, food did not deliver to the standard of the hotel.
Pros:

Food in the hotel was very average, cooked breakfast mediocre at best. The Rookery was far better with great service.

Cons:

Quality and wait time on food.

Great modern hotel overlooking the lovely Carnoustie golf course
Pros:

The view from our room overlooking the golf course was amazing (we paid for a golf course view). The room was large and comfortable. The hotel was a 3 minute walk to the sea.

Cons:

The breakfast wasn’t wonderful

Lovely for a 2 night couples retreat
Pros:

Really liked the sauna and steam room facilities. The room was comfortable and the breakfast options were comprehensive and nice that the hot food was made freshly to order.

Cons:

Not so fond of the room location, we were on the first floor on the side of the car park so it was a bit noisy at times and no nice view. Would have liked more vegetarian options in the restaurant menus. Also could not phone down to reception which wasn't great.

Sehr gerne wieder.
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Golfplatz und konnten sowohl die Abschläge auf Tee 1 als auch die ankommenden Flights an der 18 beobachten. Das war wirklich großartig. Das Zimmer verfügte über zwei große Fenster, die sich öffnen ließen, und das WLAN war einwandfrei. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir haben zweimal im Restaurant gegessen, und es war jedes Mal ausgezeichnet (allerdings nicht gerade günstig). Vom Hotel aus lassen sich Spaziergänge unternehmen, und natürlich kann man Golf spielen, sofern man eine Abschlagszeit gebucht hat. Die Haltestelle der Bahn ist nicht weit entfernt (etwa zehn Minuten), ebenso ein COOP-Supermarkt für Lebensmittel.

Cons:

Bei einem Hotel in dieser Preisklasse wäre eine Minibar auf dem Zimmer, auch wenn sie leer ist, wünschenswert. Der Fernseher ist ziemlich alt, es handelt sich nicht um ein Smart-TV, und Netflix ist nicht verfügbar.

Great location service a bit hit and miss.
Pros:

Location close to coast and golf course. Rooms where large and well appointed. Free leisure facility on site.Lisa the receptionist was very helpful from start to finish of are two night visit.

Cons:

Staff at breakfast not well organised and evening meal worse. Long waits to be asked what you want after being seated.

We had a very enjoyable stay
Pros:

We were returning guests and it was a lovely start to be upgraded. Our room was very comfortable overlooking the course and we enjoyed having a drink sat outside on the patio. We ate in the separate restaurant with family which was memorable. The breakfast too was just right. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Cons:

On the one hand our bedroom was overlooking the 18th green which was excellent. However, the patio was well used until late as the weather was exceptional so it was rather noisy until late.

Booked for a special birthday celebration, this hotel proved to be outstanding in every single way possible. Quite simply, superb.
