However, I probably wouldn’t book this hotel again for the following reasons. These are of course very personal preferences and may not bother other guests:

* There is no 24-hour reception. Especially at weekends, reception hours are quite limited, which I personally found inconvenient. This was particularly uncomfortable in combination with my second point:
* The location didn’t make me feel completely comfortable. The street where the hotel is located has quite a few vacant buildings, and there were a lot of homeless people around. Although Luxembourg is a very safe city, I didn’t always feel entirely at ease walking back to the hotel, especially in the evening.
* The hotel seems more geared towards guests staying for longer periods rather than tourists. There are rules and notices posted throughout the hotel, including fines for breaking certain rules. I was even told that I wasn’t allowed to have a party after 10 p.m. — which I found a little amusing, considering I was there with my toddler! 😅 You also have to pay for things such as a tea bag, which didn’t feel particularly welcoming to me.

That said, if these things don’t bother you, I would definitely recommend the hotel. The rooms are lovely, the beds are comfortable, the staff are friendly, and the city centre is very easy to reach on foot.

The following are minor, things that can be improved, not issues at all:
Excessive use of air-freshener in the corridors and lobby of the building.
Bath towels are half-size. gym doesn't have much equipment, no breakfast.

La habitación estaba pagada antes de nuestra llegada. Solicitaron ver la tarjeta con la que pagué la habitación y accedí a mostrarla, en un descuido el recepcionista tomó datos de mi tarjeta y las anotó en un folio. Esto supone una vulneración de seguridad de mis datos bancarios.

Like all things in Luxembourg, it’s expensive. But that’s everywhere, can’t complain.

- With the open kitchen right inside your room it is understandable that the price is a bit high
- To save money, I suggest booking a hotel with a main entrance right opposite the central train station instead (though reviews said the area around the train station is dodgy and unsafe, if the main entrance is exactly opposite the train station exit, it should be OK). Because the tram / bus stops are between the central train station and the hotels facing the train station, you can even catch the free public transport to and from the old town even late at night.
- Book Domus Hotel if you a traveler that needs an open kitchen with a microwave in your own room (The price of Domus Hotel is not very expensive compared with other hotels in the old town area)
- The reception closes early (like 19:30) and there were one or two homeless persons / beggars / loiterers sleeping on the street near the hotel area (this may be a Luxembourg situation).
- I booked four nights. They did not refill the coffee / tea / small shampoo.
- not sure how to turn off the exhaust hood lights (there is only one button that turn off all the lights in the room like a main switch)
- not sure how to turn on the exhaust hood to remove the steam in the open kitchen (there was no separate button that can be found)
