Pros:

Everything was very clean. Staff were helpful

Cons:

Struggle with mobility snd there were lots of stairs. Restricted breakfast timed...had to chose a slot

Pros:

I found the Hotel immaculate, the room was of a high standard and well presented.
The location was perfect for my agenda ie...Steam train to Whitby and visiting Mathewsons car auctions and museum.
The hotel staff are very warming and courteous, breakfast was of a high standard and promptly served.

I certainly would recommend Pickering and the Black Swan Hotel.

Great Location, Great Pub/Hotel, would not hesitate to use again

As far as i am concerned everything was excellent, cant see how you would improve on that.

A lovely place to stay. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel with attentive staff
Pros:

Excellent location for Pickering station for steam train trip to Whitby. Very nice bar with a good selection of beers including Blue Moon on tap. Plenty of parking and a good breakfast.

Lovely comfortable hotel with exceptional staff
Pros:

Chose the hotel as was close to railway station. Only 5 min walk away. From arrival we were welcomed by such lovely staff and shown to our room. Room was comfortable with everything you could possibly need and was exceptionally clean. Modern decor and fixtures. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on that but we will definitely stay again. On site parking a bonus too. Thank you for a lovely stay

Yorkshire pefection
Pros:

On arrival we were given a very warm Yorkshire welcome. That level of service was continuous throughout the weekend both in the bar area and the restaurant/lounge/breakfast room area. This is the USP of this inn/hotel. Friendliness and good service. The room was large (deluxe) and spacious - fridge which was very welcome in the heat and a free standing fan. Easy parking on site. Nothing not to like. Hope to be back.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the business has suffered a flood in recent months and it has meant that they cannot offer a full restaurant service in the evening. But this is entirely out of their control due to the utility company not finishing and repairing works properly. There are however numerous restaurants nearby - the best by far Willowgate Bistro opposite the hotel so make sure you book a table somewhere rather than relying on the Black Swan for an evening meal. Breakfast was very nice and ordered on a case by case basis.
