spacious room with a beautiful sea view
The staff are superb and looked after us so well accommodating our particular mobility needs
The room was a bit hot and the bathroom a bit small but we managed in future we will ask for an accessible room.
The location was lovely.
The breakfast was almost inedible. Had obviously been dished up and left under a hot lamp for ages. The sausage looked like it had had a bite out of it. We paid £150 for a sea view. We got a side view of the sea not what we expected for that price. This should have been made clear when booking. The staff were ok. Not very flexible with breakfast times etc. we were told to come down before 8 to be given a table number. Everyone then just had to go into breakfast at 8. It was a little like a cattle market.
Great location. Good parking very good breakfast.
Restricted time of breakfast
I've stayed several times over the last few weeks and the staff are very helpful, listened to my needs and acted upon them immediately.
Hotel was very clean too.
Nothing
Excellent parking facilities
Entertainment although a different female singer each night was repetitive
Very clean, excellent location, breakfast was lovely and excellent value, very good greeting (by Darren I think his name was) and excellent explanation of everything
Took a while to get served for breakfast due to lack of staff, room was cleaned excellently but bath was missed
Staff were excellent, the food was very good value and good quality. My room was comfortable and provided good sleep quality.
Coffee was rather weak at breakfast!
Breakfast and evening meal all hard good selection well cooked and arrived at the table hot/ warm
The staff were run off their feet with 3 coach’s stopping, but only fault they forgot about tea and coffee,
In other places we’ve stopped you got your own beverage by vending machine.
Lovely room sea view amazing. Breakfast really good. Staff helpful. Been there loads of times we love it.
Nothing.
The hotel has recently been refurbished, it's modern, very clean. The staff were very approachable and friendly. Parking at the hotel was free. The room had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a walk in shower and we had a great view of the promenade from our room. The room also had tea and coffee facilities. The bar was great and had deals on for alcohol, there was also bingo and a live singer for entertainment. The hotel is on the beach front and everything was in walking distance. Breakfast was great, we had allocated tables. Breakfast is not all you can eat, it's menu selected.
There was a charge for early check in, the usual check in time is at 16:00 which is late. The shower wasn't very powerful. Breakfast timings is early, between 8am and 9am.
Fab location. Lovely bar area. Fairly priced drinks.
A wee but expensive for what it is as corridors and rooms tired in decor
Breakfast was nice and room was pleasant, bed was comfortable and room was clean. Thats about it really and a nice location, close to the beach
First of all on arrival we was not told or asked about our registration of our car and it completely left our minds. Then a short while later I remembered and went to give it in. Only to be told we were going to have a parking ticket. That spoilt my trip straight away and I had another two days left. Now for meals at the hotel... there Non existent! they do offer small snacks for example a packet of crisps and certain times of the day. If your out and about exploring your out of luck sorry.. Meals are only for the customers that are on a coach trip we wasnt allowed to eat there. After we had been on a long walk we wanted to get a meal and was told to go find a chip shop!! We wasnt informed of this on booking. If you provide a breakfast surley you can make meals for the rest of the day. We are in our late 60's mind and ended up walking to Aldis and had a sandwich as that was the only thing open apart from a one stop. So overall a very poor experience and wont be booking again. I would only book up this hotel if you want to starve yourself.
Location
Very dated rooms, breakfast very average, in bar area music kept going off, so quite boring. Unfortunately not for us, shame as I love the location
Hotel - Dated but clean and acceptable
Food - Really good breakfast and plenty of choice
Staff - Brilliant throughout and a mention to Gina on the front desk for her help, brilliant personality, a credit to the hotel
Bar - Really good, the bar staff were really good
Location - Brilliant, right on the front
The whole hotel just needs so TLC, a lick of paint here and there and it's stuck in the 1980s but it appears that the general clientele are coach parties for the over 60's which may just about work for them.
As we were there for a golfing break it was more than acceptable.
Having said that Porthcawl looks a little dated as well but overall cant knock the hotel.
Didn't have breakfast.. no fridge in room was disappointing
No fridge in room.. and we couldn't get wi.fi in our room
