Great position. Generally comfortable but very 'tired'.
Has new management and re-furbishment begins.
The staff (Vicky) was exceptional both in personality and actions.
Sadly there were no catering facilities, apart from tea /coffee with a kettle.
Lots of cafés/restaurants adjacent.

The hotel is ideally suited for visiting the historic attractions of Rochester. It's also within a short distance from the railway station.
Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with excellent bed linen and towels. The shower worked well.
We had wondered if the room might be subject to noise as it faced the High Street, but this was not an issue for us and we had a restful night.
Because the restaurant is being refurbished, the hotel was unable to offer breakfast. However, we were given a discount voucher for the cafe / restaurant they also own, and had an excellent meal there.
The hotel is under new ownership, and the proprietors have plans to upgrade facilities in the future, with several improvements already in evidence.
All the staff I met, including those at the cafe, were most pleasant, welcoming and helpful. I'm hoping to return to experience the results of their endeavours in the near future.
There was nothing I specifically disliked, or which affected my enjoyment of this visit. interior decoration does need refreshing and upgrading, which the owners acknowledge and are addressing.
I was running late the staff stayed late for me to check inn. Was so helpfull. Cant appreicate more

A bit dated
The main thing was the staff and the owner. They were so warm and friendly. Many years ago we had stayed there before but didn’t realise that till we arrived and booked in. The hotel was in the centre of Rochester, which was why we chose it. The owner introduced herself , Leila, and she is such a lovely lady. It made our stay memorable.. Thankyou all.

Shame the bar and restaurant were not open, but the hotel is being refurbished. Will stay again.
Lovely family-run hotel in the heart of historic Rochester. Rooms were clean and had coffee/tea and milk offered. Beds were comfortable and rooms were not noisy (I stayed during working days, not on weekends).
It is an old hotel. If you look for modern style, this will fail your expectations. If you want to treasure the ways of the past, you will love it.

Différents Cafés à côté pour varier le petit déjeuner.
La chambre confortable.
Mais un peu petite pour deux et vraiment trop chaude et difficile a aérer !!
