Las vistas desde la terraza. Los alrededores.
This was a one night stop on our way down from Tromso to Lofoten. We were pleasantly surprised by it and it would have been worth a couple of nights. This area around Narvik is not visited much by foreign tourists and has a lot to offer. We like the building which was reminiscent of the Tellytubby house.. We were able to park and then go for a walk in the nearby woods which had several well marked trails.
As our room was only £91 b and b we decided to pay for the sauna and jacuzzi which was £64 to have a two hour slot. We only managed an hour before we needed to have dinner. The fjord setting was lovely. Three choices for dinner: bacaloa, veg chilli or reindeer casserole at £25 each. Busy restaurant due to a large group.
We particularly enjoyed the local smoked salmon at breakfast. The smokery was just up the road. The two gentlemen at reception were friendly and helpful.
The beds were thin and like the type you get in caravans or youth hostels. No blackout curtains so the room was light on a June night.
A little inconvenient to have to go to reception with wet hair to get a hairdryer as they are not supplied in the rooms.
Fantastisk utsikt. Bra att det finns restaurang.
Het uitzicht vanaf kamer en terras
Oud hotel, redelijk onderhouden. Schoon maar binnen weinig uitstraling.
Everything about this hotel is spot on... the management/owners got it all right. Wonderful surroundings and views. Comfortable. Clean well appointed rooms. Plenty of comfortable communal areas to relax in both inside and out on terrace.. Complimentary tea snd coffee all the time. Incredible value.
Nothing to dislike....
Mooie locatie, prachtig uitzicht!
Alles heeft nodig onderhoud nodig. Personeel wat afstandelijk.
Restaurant was alles klaar gezet voor een feestje zodat iedereen op vreemde plekjes moest zitten voor het ontbijt. Dit komt niet gastvrij over.
The location was very nice (surrounded by epic nature trails), beautiful view and cute house. It was easy to find, access to our room whole day (as we went for a midnight hike and arrived back only at 4am but could still get in very easily). It was quiet - but it was also more offseason time, so maybe if it’s more crowded it could be different since our room was literally on the same level with the ground - could step outside from the window :) but we had a good rest. It was very nice that we had a tiny kitchen in our room. Could put some things in the fridge and if wanted, could even cook for yourselves.
We got our stomach full with the breakfast but I personally think a hotel could offer a bit more diverse and interesting selection for a breakfast. Also the employees were very nice but the communication could slightly improve - for example getting an answer on the booking app from them to my message.
Kamer, was goed, lekkere bedden!
Als we een opmerking moeten maken zou dat over het ontbijt.... variatie zijn. Alkes was er maar in een smaak, een soort brood etc...
Alles bestens
Sehr schöne ruhige Lage,

Dinner Food was poor. Worst in Norway.
