Pros:

Nice big bathroom

Cons:

Breakfast was poor. Bed uncomfortable and a bit small. Nice large bathroom but water pressure poor. Dinner in the restaurant was very expensive and didn’t live up to expectations.

An exceptional & MOST appreciated stay & we can’t wait to return.
Pros:

The Old Bridge was EXCEPTIONAL on every level. The staff were the most attentive & caring staff we have ever come across & made us feel incredibly welcome & at home.

The food was delicious & beautifully prepared & the ambiance of the whole building was unique & calming.

Our rooms were stunning, incredibly clean & comfortable & the beds an absolute dream.

Our request for a quiet room was very much adhered to & as we had been to a funeral earlier in the day, the need to be “still” was made possible.

We can’t thank the staff enough & will most certainly return as soon as possible. Thank you.

Where strangers can meet typical Old British lifestyle!

Everything. Style of the hotel, Food at the restaurant, Decorations, History of the hotel, STAFF (Liga - that took care of my Room, Hugh - the tea wizard, Richard - the Wine wizzard, Ann - stylish performance while serving in restaurant, Becky - the key to hotel) that was superb. Realy everything. Hotel is result of careful considerations for the pleasant stay of the guest, especially us non-UK citizens who would like to be introduced to the typical British culture through food, wines, decorations and behaviour of the service staff. At the end of the day you can be in the nicest hotel but if the staff is not welcoming you with emotions and professional attitude everything is in vain. Hotels are just buildings and satisfied and professional staff is all what it meters. I was recommending Old Bridge to all my visitors who were visiting the area as the only real traditional British jewel worth visiting regardless of the costs. It was worth every penny.

Friendly and welcoming
Pros:

Great stop off - easy to find and park. Dog friendly. Walks along the river. Lovely room and breakfast with veggie options. Had evening meal there too. A lovely classic heritage hotel. Standout was the friendly service in the hotel and restaurant - fantastic friendly welcoming team.
