DAS v EVERT Hotel - am Congress Centrum Würzburg

We have never experienced such a genuinly warm welcome in all our trips abroad. The consideration, kindness and helpful advice lasted throughout our stay. Coffee. water and a selection of small cakes on arrival. Then, personally shown to our room by Frau von Evert - who also offered to help carry our luggage! Water, coke, beers and proseco in our fridge and these were replenished daily. Weather was very hot during our visit but a large fan helped. By the way we stayed in four old town hotels on our Romantic Road trip and NONE had air conditioning (we were told due to planning regulations). The hotel is about 600m by straight flat road to the rail station and the same to the old town centre. There is a road outside the hotel but each of our room windows were double glazed not once but twice. This was possible due to the thickness of the old walls. We had a choice of rooms and each was similarly decorated with large beds, exquisite furnishings and deep pile dark carpets. Everything is spotless. For breakfast we were given vouchers and directed to the main square - a short pleasant stroll away. The choice was a la carte and I had muesli, eggs benedict, and coffee with enough credit left to choose a treat from the display of cakes and pastries. Ok I confess I chose a cheese and ham pretzel for my lunch. Each night Frau von Evert had recommended nearby restaurants and we happily agreed to try them. Both were great with excellent food and wines at really reasonable prices. Again at the owners suggestion we spent an hour on the 2 seater balcony on the fifth floor. Wow! What an awesome view as the sun set. I will try to post a couple of photos. Sitting there with a glass of gorgeous local wine was an absolute delight. If I could share an analogy to explain how we felt during our stay it would be this - Imagine being a child again and going to stay with your favourite aunty for a couple of days, knowing she was intent on giving you the best time.

The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the river and the town centre. There is parking on site. Our room was large and the hotel had provided some complementary drinks in the fridge, which we thought was a very nice touch. Nina, the proprietor, was so kind and helpful. She had suggestions as to where to go for breakfast, and she even booked us a meal at a really good restaurant in town.

Das EVERT Hotel liegt perfekt im Zentrum von Würzburg. Es geht nicht zentraler. Mainbrücke, Zentrum, auch die Residenz sind fussläufig schnell und leicht erreichbar, die Altstadt in 5 Minuten. Frau Nina van Evert heißt alle Gäste herzlich willkommen, lässt einen erst einmal ankommen und einen Schluck kühles Wasser trinken ( bei uns war es sehr heiß ), und dann kommen die Formalitäten für den Check- In. Wir waren mit unserem Oldtimer da, deswegen immer ein bisschen besorgt…. Sie hat Ihren Parkplatz ( überdacht) für uns geräumt. Das war großartig! Vielen lieben Dank noch einmal dafür, auch dass Sie es nicht berechnet haben! Minibar ist bestückt und wird aufgefüllt und nicht berechnet. Ebenso liegt unten Joghurt, Obst , Törtchen und Süßes aus. Wir wünschen Ihnen alles erdenklich Gute… viel Kraft, Mut, Zuversicht und Gottes Segen!

It’s location, room was comfortable and the fan was very necessary

Beautiful hotel with very comfortable room. Lovely pillows. Great location and exceptional lady on reception who even moved her car so we had a secure spot for our motorbike.
