Nice boutique hotel, but a bit pricey for what's on offer
Pros:

The hotel is very nice and clean, friendly staff and great location (outside of town, but just 2 minutes by car / 10 minutes walking, conveniently in front of the waterfall). Nice garden and ocean views from our balcony, leading to a rocky front beach with a natural pool.

Cons:

However, we all had the same feeling that the pictures were a bit of an oversell: it's a small hotel, it's not in the middle of the jungle as it appears, the rooms are rather small, no hot water, no breakfast included (i'm sure it's great, but at $17pp, we didn't even try!)... frankly, a bit expensive for what's on offer.

A very great place to enjoy Puerto Viejo out of the crowd.
Pros:

The hotel is in a very quiet area of Puerto Viejo and the bungalows are separated by tropical edges which give a real privacy. The swimming pool is great and the manager is extremely helpful. We enjoyed every minue there.

Pros:

Su cercanía con la playa, muy lindo el jardín y los alrededores del hotel. Los detalles de la habitación, por ejemplo los instrumentos para preparar café.

Cons:

Estaba lloviendo mucho, por lo que era incómodo tener que pasar por el espacio de la habitación vecina para no mojarse.

Don't miss the natural hottub!
Pros:

Tolle Lage, etwas außerhalb des Dorfzentrums, am Wasser und direkt beim Aufgang zu den Wasserfällen.
Die Anlage selbst ist wunderschön und besonders für Pärchen sind im Garten viele kleine Bereiche um das Meer oder die Sterne zu zweit zu genießen.
Der Naturpool (eine Art Fels-Wanne, die sich bei Flut mit Meereswasser füllt und bei Ebbe zum Hottub wird) war ein besonderes Highlight.

Cons:

Die günstigsten Zimmer sind... nennen wir es einmal "kuschelig". Aber das passt ja vielleicht eh zum Konzept Pärchen-Hotel.

Pros:

Die Lage ist wirklich sehr gut. Innerhalb von 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuß im Zentrum und genauso schnell kann man zum Soda Tipica laufen. Es ist auch sehr angenehm das man direkt vor dem Eingang des Wasserfalls ist.
Der Manager ist sehr herzlich und hat uns viel beantworten können, wir hatten sehr nette Gespräche.
Das Zimmer ist komfortabel und sauber

Hotel met fantastische tuin!
Pros:

Fantastisch mooie tuin met heerlijke hangmatten en uitzicht op de zee, heerlijk ontbijt met yoghurt, vers fruit en lekkere omelet. De host Alberto was ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. Erg mooie kamers met stijlvolle inrichting. Fijn dat je de hele dag water en koffie kon pakken. We zijn een extra nacht gebleven.
