Hotel Avis

The hotel is well located, just minutes away from both the park and the main street, with a number of good restaurants and bars less than 10 walk.

My room was spacious, the bed was really comfortable, the Aircon was doing its job, there was a nice TV, a terrace and even a fridge, everything I needed.

The main highlight was the friendly personnel, they provided me with useful tips, helped me whenever I needed them, provided me with an iron, and even a nice cup of coffee as a farewell. Loved the service and friendly attitude, 10/10!

Very welcoming and helpful staff, spacious room with a great view, perfectly clean. Very good location too, in a quiet neighborhood and on a walking distance from city's center

After getting a little confused with the roads in Greece on our way back from Albania, and after a longer day of driving, we decided to spend one night as close as possible to the motorway towards Sofia, and we ended up at this hotel in Sandanski. The navigation app took us around the back roads to get to the hotel by car, and it looked to me like we were going to the top of a hill, but when we arrived, we had an extraordinarily pleasant surprise.

We asked to see the room first, and it was extremely nice, spacious and very clean. We chose a room with a balcony, which had a very good view over the city. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating, and our two furry ones were welcomed very warmly. We even received a special soft, furry mat for the dogs to sleep comfortably on, as well as two bowls for their food, although we already had our own. It was a very nice and much appreciated gesture.

Just a short distance below the hotel there is a large park that leads to the main pedestrian area, and very close by there are many terraces and shops, all just a few minutes away. In the evening we had another very pleasant surprise, because we realized that we were actually right in the middle of the action, so to speak.

The hotel certainly doesn’t lack guests, especially people who are in transit, as there are many who are coming from or going to Greece, or even further away, just as we were. But I definitely want to warmly recommend it as well, because I liked it very much. The staff was extremely kind, and I would gladly return to this hotel anytime. The breakfast was also very good.

There is even a small little park directly opposite the hotel, where you can get some fresh air among the flowers, or take the dogs out to play for a while.
