Good location
Well managed and clean
location was great
the decor is very asian - an assault of colour and odd textures
Staff were excellent and very responsive, bed was comfortable and room was very clean. Was perfect for a wedding we attended in the local area and great value for money. Plenty of parking available and very quiet.
Room was very warm, not helped by the heatwave. However they had provided fans in the room and not something the hotel can directly control short of installing air con. No option for breakfast however loads of great local cafes in Whitchurch.
Comfortable room and easy check in
A super location, plenty parking, friendly staff, very easy and relaxed checking in/out. perfect for Whitchurch (5min walk to main high street. We had 4 rooms between our Family for Wedding at Iscoyd Park which was 8min drive away, so perfect location. Very clean. Style was as expected above a Thai restaurant, perfect. Great value for money.
There were stairs up to the rooms, so if you book expect these as on 2nd floor and the room door access had a long pin number (I could not remember)!
The room was spacious, the bed comfortable
Shower was in need of repair, room especially blinds needed good dust, decor was a mismatch off wallpapers.
Only the location was good as was near to the wedding venue.
We were very disappointed the property looked very tired and the Thai restaurant underneath was permanently closed, our room was up a spiral staircase so not ideal and only one light switch for both bathroom and room. We had to feed a bedside lamp into the bathroom in the night. Bed was very bouncy and not very comfortable and when one person tried to get out of bed the other person was disturbed. We didn’t sleep very well at all.
The lovely lady that greeted us on arrival was very pleasant and helpful
We were shown 3 rooms initially
It wasn’t clean it was very dusty cobwebs
Nothing appeared to be finished off
All the extensive plugs were over I felt it was very unsafe
I couldn’t believe it had been checked for anyone to stay there
Not very well insulated lots of noise from rooms above
It’s next door to the retirement home my mother lives in.
They kept cancelling the accessible room booking I had made for my son in law and daughter and tried to put them upstairs which would have been very difficult. Thankfully they sorted it out.
Nothing!
Arrived at the venue with no communication from owner, to find there was no reception, instead a sign saying to check in at Thai restaurant bar. Thai restaurant was closed. Rang them using the number provided on booking.com. She was SO RUDE to me, shouting at me down the phone, made me cry. At this point I’m sat in my car outside crying while she shouts telling me she already sent my room code (which she hadn’t). She thinks realises she had confused me for someone else, finally sends me the code. When you walk in, your face is swarmed with flys. Go up to room, fancy hi-tech door code, but the room was definitely not fancy at all! Was dirty, crowded, VERY outdated, cigarette burns on the cushioned ledge by window. After crying that I wanted to go home, I managed to survive the night, with my bags against the back of the door as I was panicking that I couldn’t double lock it and she knew the code so could walk in at any minute as there was no lock from the inside! I then woke up to get a shower to find bugs on the towels she had provided, like little bed bugs, mite sized. I hated it! Worst night stay of my life!!
Super friendly and helpful host made sure we had everything we needed on our stay. Thank you!
