Beautiful, stylish, peaceful
Pros:

A beautiful property with amazing bedrooms. Stylish, clean and comfortable.
The staff were attentive, polite, helpful and informative.
The breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. There was also a wide range of continental items .
We will definitely be back.

Superb guest house , probable the best on the garden route.
Pros:

We visited this property in 2024 and loved the place . Back again in 2026 and it’s as good as it was , the staff are as wonderful as ever , a gorgeous breakfast sets you up for the day, the accommodation is top class, totally deserves its 5 star rating . Excellent

A Convenient Stopover with Some Room for Improvement
Pros:

Our stay was only for one night, but Cinnamon Boutique House was the good choice for our stopover. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The room was very spacious, with a large and comfortable bathroom. The location is excellent, right in the heart of town, with easy access to the beach.

The highlight of our stay at the guesthouse was seeing the beautiful turacos during breakfast. Such a lovely and memorable experience!

Cons:

The hotel is starting to show its age and did not quite meet our expectations. The mattress was worn out and far too soft, making it rather uncomfortable to sleep on. Breakfast was okay, but the selection was rather limited for a five-star property. Overall, we had expected a slightly higher standard.

Frühstück war sehr gut. Allgemeine Sauberkeit und Ordnung bis auf den Kühlschrank war toll.

Cons:

Auffällig war eine Zentimeterdicke Eisschicht im Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer, als ob da noch nie das Eisfach abgetaut wurde! Das ist ein richtiger Mangel! Das habe ich so noch nie gesehen . Stühle auf dem Balkon hatten unterschiedlich lange Beine und waren sehr wackelig!

Pros:

The location is excellent, within walking distance of all the restaurants in Wilderness. The breakfast was delicious and made with a lot of care. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank you we had a great stay.

Overall, there are much better accommodation options available in this price range.
Pros:

The location is great, within easy walking distance of local restaurants, and the property features a well-kept outdoor area and garden. There is also a good selection of in-room tea and coffee.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the hotel is outdated and lacks charm. There is a general damp smell throughout the property, and while it feels clean, the heavy use of pine gel leaves a strong, unpleasant chemical odor.

A few details negatively impacted our comfort:

Comfort & Maintenance: The mattress topper had a deep indentation that forced us to remove it in the middle of the night. The shower leaked, the massage chair makes a loud noise and needs servicing, and the bathroom lacks an extractor fan.

Atmosphere & Staff: Staff in communal areas were loudly watching series on their phones. Instead of playing relaxing background music in the lounge and breakfast area, local radio was playing—listening to ad breaks ruins the ambiance.

Service & Quality: Breakfast could definitely be improved. For a 5-star rating at this price point, the amenities feel cheap—from the basic drinks to mismatched cutlery (all three teaspoons in our room were different) and low-end glassware.

Keys: Room access requires a bulky handful of two remotes and two keys, which is inconvenient to carry and easily misplaced.
