The hotel's location is quite convenient, being very close to the train station. Additionally, the view from the lobby is truly impressive.
The soundproofing is not very effective. The bed is a bit too soft and doesn't provide enough support for the body.
Our stay at Hotel und Restaurant Alpina in Grindelwald was absolutely unforgettable. The absolute highlight has to be the breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the Eiger Mountain right from our room balcony and the dining area—waking up to that scenery every morning was purely magical. The on-site dining is exceptional. We looked forward to the rich, free breakfasts every morning to fuel our hikes, and the fixed-price multi-course dinner menus featured incredible, homey Swiss and French specialties. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the warm Swiss hospitality. The multigenerational owners, the Wolf family, actively manage daily operations and went out of their way to give us personalized, expert trail recommendations. On top of the amazing service, the entire property is flawless—both the rooms and shared facilities were consistently spotless and well-maintained.If you want an authentic, pristine, and family-run chalet experience in Grindelwald, this is the place to book!
That there weren't extra pillows/blankets in the closet

Proximité centre ville, confort, vue, accueil.
Very kind family run hotel, the location is absolutely beautiful with the best view from balcony on the mountains and grindelwald, breakfast was small but decent
Excellent location close to the station and centre of Grindelwald.
Rooms very clean and comfortable.
Staff very welcoming.
Breakfast very good.
Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen (Nähe Bahnhof) und doch sehr ruhig. Nettes Personal, schöne Aussicht und super Frühstück. Einfach ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.
It is very conveniently located just above the train station, but in a very quiet place, and also next to the restaurants and shops area. The hotel has a nice lounge and overall is very comfortable. The rooms were clean and my daughter said that this was one of the best beds she slept in and her sleep was extremely relaxing.
The breakfast could have been better. While there were nice things like local sausage or cheese, some other food was not ideal. E.g. strawberry was very sour, or watermelon is more like grass, etc. it is better not to offer them at all, rather offer a poor quality.
Extremely clean, very central location, quiet and comfortable
The only real disappointment was the breakfast it was mainly cereal and bread. No oats or Bircher.
The hotel’s location is excellent: very close to the train station, yet slightly uphill. Thanks to this, the hotel is still right in the center of the village but much quieter, with beautiful views all around. A big plus is that the hotel also has its own parking.
The staff at the reception and in the restaurant are extremely friendly and welcoming. They provide detailed information not only about the hotel but also about everything available in the village, which makes the stay even more pleasant.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Simple in style but well thought out and equipped with everything you might need: a kettle, tea and coffee, a water carafe, a safe, TV, hairdryer, an extra pillow, and plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. In my single room, there was a work desk with a chair, as well as a small round table with an armchair. The large balcony was absolutely wonderful, offering a fantastic view, and it was furnished with a table and a chair. The bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet was perfectly sized and practical. Guests who usually use hair conditioner should also bring their own, as it is not included in the standard toiletries.
One of the highlights of the hotel is the beautiful relaxation lounge. It is a truly lovely space with several comfortable sofas, a round table, a massage chair, many books, board games, puzzles, and live indoor plants. The lounge also opens onto a terrace with a breathtaking view.
The entire hotel is very tastefully and originally decorated (a lot of small trains). You can really feel that everything has been done with care and love.
The European-style breakfast is good and suitable for both adults and children.
The only small inconvenience for me personally was the liquid soap, which was a bit difficult to open. A pump bottle would have been more convenient, but this is purely a personal preference.
