mit 4 hübschen , grossen und gut ausgestatteten Bungalows mit Aussicht auf Garten und Wald. Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber.
Sehr gute hausgemachte traditionelle Speisen.Frühstück und Dinner frisch zubereitet , man kann wenn man will mitkochen oder bei der Zubereitung zuschauen..Der Gastgeber hilft bei allen Fragen und organisiert Safaris oder Ausflüge zu den nahen Sehenswürdihkeiten.

Een bijzondere locatie op een boerenerf, waar je even onderdeel bent van de familie en buren. Keurige hutjes met goed sanitair en goede bedden. Hele hartelijke mensen, die lekker traditioneel eten voor ons bereidden. We mochten zelfs helpen in de keuken. Uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Het is echt basic en voor ons was dat even wennen, maar het was een fantastische ervaring. Perfecte locatie voor het bezoeken van Minneriya NP en Sigiriya (Lion Rock).

Surrounding farms were nice

Hemos pasado 4 días aquí en Habarana Farm Cottatge y ha sido una experiencia increíble. Gayan nos ha ayudado en todo lo que ha estado lo que ha podido desde el primer momento tanto en transporte, actividades y recomendaciones. Nos organizó el mismo el safari a buen precio y fue una gran experiencia, a demás nos recomendó algunas actividades que no teníamos previsto hacer y fueron de las mejores que hemos hecho en esta etapa del viaje. Destacar el buen estado de las habitaciones, el excelente servicio y la comida que estaba muy rica. Sin duda una experiencia que volveremos a repetir si volvemos. Y por supuesto una experiencia que recomiendo a toda la gente que venga de vacaciones a Sri Lanka.

We stayed at Habarana Farm Cottage for four nights as a family of four, including two toddlers, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip.

The accommodation itself was excellent: the room was spacious, modern, beautifully looked after, and incredibly comfortable for all of us.

One of the best parts for a family with young kids was the massive outside garden area. It felt so serene and beautiful, surrounded by nature, and gave the kids a safe, peaceful space to run around and play.

The food was an absolute standout. The breakfasts were delicious, and Gayan made sure to introduce us to something new to try every single day. By far, these were the best breakfasts we’ve had in our three weeks traveling around Sri Lanka.

We also had dinner at the cottage, which was excellent, traditional Sri Lankan food, with most of the ingredients coming straight from their own farm garden.

More than anything, it was the hospitality that made our stay so special. Gayan and the team were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, and we felt truly cared for throughout our stay. The kids absolutely loved Gayan!

If you are looking for a peaceful, authentic, and incredibly welcoming place to stay, we cannot recommend Habarana Farm Cottage enough. We would definitely stay here again.

Place, Host and food

This place is truly beautiful, very calm, and surrounded by nature. Being located within the forest creates a peaceful atmosphere and gives off such positive, relaxing vibes. I had a wonderful and refreshing stay here.

Fantastic place pretty location and peaceful. The auntie and uncle were fantastic and kind and made the whole experience great. The breakfast was delicious and was tailored to what we wanted, all homemade using the farms ingredients. The auntie made the time to talk to us during meals. We didn't have dinner with them the first night but did the second two and regretted not doing so on the first night it was so delicious. A good location outside the town if you have your own transport. We saw mongese, kingfishers and many other birds just sitting there. The room was extremely comfy and had the best facilities. Wifi box was given to us after asking for this (you may need to ask for this)

Questo posto è davvero eccezionale, non solo per essere immerso in un'area tranquilla e ricca di flora e fauna, ma per la coppia che lo gestisce che si occupa di voi facendovi sentire a casa.
La signora si occupa degli ospiti con tanto amore e si impegna tanto nel preparare magnifiche e ricche colazioni e cene tipiche sempre diverse. È davvero un'ottima donna di casa.
Le casette sono immerse tra le risaie e la giungla, ma poco distanti dal paesino.
Qui si possono anche noleggiare le biciclette o prendere lezioni di cucina.
Consigliato anche il safari.

The setting in the countryside is amazing, the sounds at night were fantastic. The owner was not there but the husband and wife who looked after us were incredible. Amazing breakfasts and dinners. Truly authentic and lovely, helpful people
