Breakfast was good and room was lovely, we paid extra for a larger bed which was really nice and comfortable so had a really nice sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a lovely stay.
Nothing really comes to mind as they're stymied by the location on the edge of what seems to be a nice quiet town. Perfect for an overnight stay.
Wij hadden een uitstekende twin bedroom met airco en een fantastische en ruime badkamer met inloopdouche. Alles in deze locatie staat op hoog niveau. Prima Engels ontbijt, 's avonds lekker buiten gegeten op het terras vanuit het restaurant met ruime keuze uit gerechten, lekker gezeten. Over het algemeen zeer vriendelijk personeel, een enkele uitzondering daargelaten.
Bij het digitaal afrekenen van het diner krijg je op de pinautomaat enkele niet te vermijden keuzes over fooi. De standaard staat op 10%. Je hebt maar een paar seconden om alle info op het kleine schermpje te lezen. Er zullen vast wel meer keuzes zijn, maar wat je wilt (namelijk zelf bepalen of en hoeveel fooi je geeft) staat een beetje verstopt. Dat voelt niet goed. Als ik tevreden ben over hoe ik behandeld ben, geef ik graag fooi en meestal meer dan die 10%. Maar om zo fooi en een standaard van 10% "in your face" te gooien als een niet te vermijden verplichting vind ik onbehoorlijk. Er is vast wel iets anders te verzinnen.

I stayed here for one night because I had a work conference for 2 days I could not believe how beautiful this place was ♥️ the manager who runs the lion is an asset to this beautiful place I had dinner in the garden area and the two girls waitressing were attentive at all times such friendly staff beautiful atmosphere eating outside in lovely weather I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know and I will definitely be booking again if I have another work meeting in Witham

Decided to make a last minute reservation after a family wedding in a heatwave. Wonderfully presented room with AC and full bathroom and a little patio space. Had a really nice bath. Staff were amazingly friendly and whole venue has great ambiance. Would recommend.
A bit pricey but exceptional service and quality included. Food was nice but expensive; could do with a better vegetarian selection.
