Goed maar niet geweldig
Pros:

Heerlijk rituals in de badkamer. Goed bed.

Cons:

Great experience
Pros:

Great experinece. The castle is in the middle of the park, very quite but not far from the city centre (there is a direct bus 7 minutes walking that brings you to the city in 10 minutes) + the hotel also rents bikes for approx. 15 eur a day. Our room was very cool - the bathroom was about the size same as the main room (huge) and there were 2 baths so we could take a relaxing bath with my husband after a long day walking in the city. Everyone was very helpful. They offer free sparking water and tea/coffee.

Cons:

All was good :-)

Apart
Pros:

Vriendelijk en enthousiast personeel (leerlingen hotelmanagementschool), mooie locatie, origineel ingerichte kamers, prima ontbijt, fijne rustige omgeving, voldoende parkeergelegenheid.

Cons:

Bar is vaak onbezet.

Bijzonder asociaal!

Good couple of nights with an unusual hotel experience.
Pros:

Quite a stunning old chateau for the hotel! We knew in advance this was a 'teaching' hotel but this did not put us off at all. The simply grassed grounds are beautifully kept with numerous paths running around the property and the nearby student accommodation. The nearby rail line which was within a few hundred meters was barely noticeable, the station being around 5 mins walk away. The food in the hotel restaurant was exceptional and very good value for money. Drinks also available were of good value. There was also a nice bar area. Our room was very unusual, it was in the tower and called the green room, and it was really GREEN, pretty much everywhere. It was very spacious but there were a few issues mentioned below. I would point out that I think the other rooms may be of a more traditional layout as we were told that each room had been individually designed.

Cons:

We had two main issues, both were reported to the hotel on our departure.
The first was there was literally no storage for clothing whatsoever with the exception of three large hooks on the wall. So a wardrobe or at very least some drawers was advised.
The other issue was that as our room was on two levels, the bathroom area (no doors and actually a sort of pod) was below the bedroom area. When venturing up/down during the night, there was no illumination on the lower part of the stairs (and very little lighting in either area, up or down) . The only lighting for downstairs was a small light for the upper stairs part or the main lighting in the bathroom area. No other lighting at all. The stairs were steep and not carpeted and could be quite slippery underfoot. I hope that they take this on board and provide some motion sensor lights for the stairs at the very least. We would certainly stay here again, but perhaps in a different room.....
