The hotel and rooms are lovely a very comfortable stay 👌
The staff were quite abrubt and not friendly, we were not told about the door being locked at midnight and as we were at a wedding do we were later than that we were locked out!! After numerous door bell ringing and phone calls that were not answered, someone finally came. We were let in by a not so friendly gentleman !! Not good
An old house with character, better than staying in a not so premier inn.
Nothing to write.
All things apart from the breakfast
The breakfast could be more in line with the regular band bs I stay at say premier inn breakfast 🥞 there has more choice
Location of hotel, staff are great
The first time we been their and the wedding venue took over all of the hotel, there were no for residents to have a quiet drink, staff says it should not have happened and would raise it with management
Lovely room & great view. Staff very friendly would stay again
Lovely olde worldse lovely gardens plenty of space
Not enough staff
Were it was.
Rooms were small and neighbours within rooms noisy.
Lovely wedding venue.
Nice big shower.
Fabulous breakfast bacon was sooo nice
The room was at the back of beyond no air con very small exceptionally stuffy .
Most of the staff were miserable looked like everything was too much trouble especially female staff apart from one young lady who was lovely very smiley and even though she was run off her feet still was very pleasant
The staff were great, friendly and very helpful, went out of their way to make sure you were happy if you needed anything, the food we had was really good and well presented, liked the ironing board and iron in the wardrobe, everything was clean, had bath and shower in our room and bed comfortable, was sunny so had a nice stroll into Pontefract, bout twenty minutes and less than a fiver in Uber to racecourse,or xscape and junction 32 so very handy location, would definitely stay again
The breakfast, help yourself buffet style was lovely, and food hot,but Saturday morning they couldn't keep up with the demand and people having to ask and wait for things, could of done with one person constantly keeping an eye on things, but that was my only negative thing, the cooked breakfast itself was really nice, the mushrooms were gorgeous not like the watery ones you usually get in hotels, and will cook vegetarian sausages if you ask and breakfast included in price of hotel
Great views from the garden
This venue states that it is a function led venue and if you require a quiet room to book an executive room. I did that. The room was genuinely the noisiest I have ever stayed in - directly above a function room. When raising the issue with the owner - he simply said the venue states it is function led - helpfully excusing himself from the fact that it does say book an executive room for quietness. Simply no responsibility, accountability or customer understanding. It’s a matter of I’ve got the money and we’re done.
Ideal location, lovely room, friendly staff and good food
Nothing
Unfriendly staff
The room was enormous with a lovely view. The breakfast was a 10 out of 10 and a lovely atmosphere.
