The newer wing has spacious and modern decor, is very comfortable and has fantastic views. Very good dinner and a generous breakfast. The location is midway between Urtisei and Suisi and is easily accessible by public transport- quite handy as the hotel provides a Sud Tirol Pass to the guests so the use is free of charge. The staff were lovely and helpful. The pool has spectacular views and is one of the best features of the property
Staff were excellent, breakfast was brilliant. Great location for getting to/from hiking trails. Bus stop right outside the hotel.
I will start with the positives to be fair. The place itself is beautiful. The reception staff, the kitchen team, and the waiters are absolute professionals—friendly, attentive, and hardworking. However, despite their excellent work, I strongly advise against anyone staying at this hotel, and I will explain exactly why below. Unfortunately, the hotel's management and ownership completely ruin the entire experience.
First, a warning to future guests: the hotel's official photos completely fail to show the absolute lack of privacy in the rooms with a terrace and the rooms with a jacuzzi (I have attached real photos to show this). What they advertise as a "private terrace" is actually just a shared courtyard loosely divided by potted fir trees. You can see and hear absolutely everything happening on all the other terraces. To make matters worse, people at the pool and the surrounding area have a clear, direct view of you relaxing on your terrace.
We booked rooms with a terrace (215 and 216) for a relaxing stay, but one of our days turned into a nightmare. In the morning, the owner of the hotel, accompanied by a maintenance worker, knocked exactly once and immediately barged into our room with her own key without waiting for an answer to "check" the bedside ottomans. I was in the bathroom at the time! It was a gross violation of privacy. But the morning chaos didn't end there: soon after, the worker returned, dragged the ottomans from all the rooms outside, brought out a power drill, and started noisily fixing something right next to us.
In the afternoon, the situation became even more absurd. During our designated rest time, my wife stepped out onto our terrace in her bathrobe, only to be confronted by three gardeners. Without any prior warning, they turned our terrace into a noisy work zone—replacing those same dividing trees between the rooms, pushing wheelbarrows, and constantly walking past our windows. Our day of relaxation was destroyed, forcing us to leave the hotel until late at night. When we returned at 11:00 PM, the terrace was still a mess with work debris, and all our personal belongings had been unceremoniously shoved into a pile in the corner by the staff (I have attached photos of this chaos).
The most revealing part came later. When I discussed this shocking incident with the hotel staff, they confidentially whispered the root of the problem to me: the owner treats the hotel as her personal home, and views the paying clients merely as "visitors" in her house.
I want to remind the management: this is completely illegal. When I pay for a hotel room, I enter into a contract that legally guarantees my privacy, the inviolability of my rented space, and my consumer rights under the law. I am not a powerless guest crashing at someone's private house.
The hotel stubbornly refused to take responsibility or compensate us for ruining our day, laughably calling the invasion of our room, the power drilling, and the gardening chaos a "standard 10-minute procedure." If you value your personal boundaries, peace of mind, and expect the reality to match the photos you pay for—stay far away from Hotel Alpenflora.

Everything, staff were all very helpful especially Sabrina. Our room had amazing views and was extremely comfortable. Breakfast had a good choice and the snacks at lunchtime was unexpected. Dinner was extremely nice too. The pool was a welcoming oasis after a long hot day out visiting the beautiful Dolomites.
Nothing
Beautiful hotel in beautiful location. Very nice infinity swimming pool. the food was good, breakfast and dinner. the room was large and very well equipped. the staff was very friendly. the hotel has undrground parking lot.
It was perfect!
we liked averything - location, facilities and excellent food.
no a/c in room in our section of hotel.
Located within walking distance of Castelrotto, the hotel has excellent facilities (pools, sauna, steam room). The room was very clean and the bed was exquisite. The selection of food at mealtimes was very good. Breakfast was excellent. Stayed 3 weeknights.
The dishes were almost always too salty. Cutting salt in half would have been better for me. If Italians want more salt let them add it themselves. The room was not air conditioned and unfortunately we were there during a heat dome. Nevertheless, it cooled down quickly at night so we could sleep well enough. Eating on the terrasse required reservations, otherwise you are relegated to an indoor table where it was quite hot.
