Clean and good location. But not hot water
Pros:

Location was good

Cons:

No hot water both nights and mornings.
Poor excuse why there wasn’t any.

A great stay
Pros:

Clean , comfortable,quiet.
Blocks steakhouse next door owned by the hotel is one of the best places to eat in Cockermouth.
We had a great meal there.

Great location

Cons:

Beds very soft. Room over looked main road adjacent busy public house. Could not sleep due to road noise and giddy / drunk people entering and leaving the pub all night.

Clean spacious tidy room with storage

Cons:

Parking misleading, disc parking is for 30 minutes. Very short walk to nearby paid car park, a space was always available.

NIce location just shame about parking
Pros:

Would like the option for breakfast at hotel as the welcome letter in room recomends 3 places in town but only 1 place was open when we were there.Location was fine .

Cons:

PARKING. This was a nightmare. You can park outside the hotel if you can get 1 of the 2 spots outside otherwise parking is across street at the pay as you go car park.£1.10 overnight till 7am then you had to get up at 7 to go and pay again for the time you needed.
