Pros:

Beyond history, wood
& tapestry, the
absolute awesomeness of
a really old building, lovingly
preserved, was the food
(excellent & balanced) & the
hospitality — warm & friendly
staff, always helpful!
Great work.

Cons:

Very little. I could crib about the lack of parking perhaps, but hey I already knew that it was going to be street side and was a challenge in Pondy over a weekend.

Pros:

It’s an old building, well maintained. Kitchen staff and waiters were excellent .

Cons:

Aircons not good enough , had two in my room yet was not cooling enough , the cot was too high the mattress too uncomfortable. Water pressure was nil in the bathroom ,I stayed at the Karaikal .
I have stayed in many heritage homes that have done better .

Location was perfect. Property was well maintained and right on heritage theme. Priya was very helpful.

Cons:

Nothing bad. Given the heritage built, I wouldn’t say it was bad but the lighting in the room can be improved.

Do not stay at this hotel. They will not honor your reservation.

There was nothing I liked about this mediocre hotel or staff.

Cons:

This hotel did not honor my reservation. I was told by Booking.com that I was a "no show". This is totally false and I have multiple people to confirm that my reservation was not honored and that I was not a "no show". It caused me a lot of trouble and expense to find another hotel. It took me over 4+ hours to find another hotel. I would never use this property again and the hotel simply gave my room away to someone else.
