What it says on the tin
Pros:

The man who checked me in was really kind, always checking I was okay and got me a tuk tuk tour. Beds were comfy and had the amenities you need. Really is what it says on the tin - nothing special but a comfortable stay. Had water bottles in the room which was great and accommodated when I asked to stay an extra night. Not amazingly clean but it was good enough.

Cons:

The first room I stayed in didn’t have a sheet but I am sure if I asked they would’ve given me one.

Great location and good Wi-Fi, but having to ask for everything makes it tough for introverts
Pros:

Great location, spacious rooms, and reliable internet

There are definitely some strong positives about this property. The location is excellent—less than 1 km from the new town, with a great, easily accessible access road. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, making dining out very convenient.

The room itself is very spacious, and the bathroom is equally good with plenty of space. The Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable throughout our stay, which was a huge plus.

Cons:

Not ideal for introverts or anyone expecting basic self-sufficiency

If you are an introvert or simply value privacy and convenience, this stay can feel quite exhausting. Unlike most standard accommodations where basics are already in the room, almost everything here requires asking the staff repeatedly.

We had to ask for an electric kettle, only to find it was kept inside a locked kitchen that required staff to open every time. The iron was missing as well and had to be requested repeatedly. The AC was taped up so the louvers couldn't swing, the remote display was barely readable, and the temperature controls did not work, staying at a fixed temperature throughout.

The house rules add to the discomfort: food isn’t allowed in the bedrooms, yet the kitchen is locked and dining area lights are shut off at night, leaving nowhere reasonable to eat. The property gate is locked at 10:00 PM, meaning you either rush back early or feel awkward having to call and wake the staff to let you in. In the morning, you also have to coordinate an exact gate-opening time with them in advance.

Lastly, the room is advertised as soundproof, but it clearly isn't, we could easily hear noise from adjacent rooms and outside.

The staff isn't necessarily rude, but having to constantly interrupt them just to get basic amenities and access makes you feel like an inconvenient burden rather than a paying guest.

Pros:

La hospitalidad de la persona encargada durante nuestro alojamiento. La habitación acogedora y limpia.
Nos ofreció tuk tuk para recorrer los templos por 5.500Rp y fue totalmente un acierto porque además de conductor tuvimos guía que nos explicó todo.
Como entrada en la cultura nos pareció una experiencia de 10

Spacious clean room, beautiful garden, and Hetti makes sure everything is taken care of.
Pros:

The location was great, we were very close to the lake as well as a main street for supermarket and restaurants. The villa was exceptionally maintained, and Hetti is an absolute superstar. He was always around keeping things tidy and asking us if we needed anything. He is the embodiment of Sri Lankan hospitality, and he is a big part of what made our stay so enjoyable.

Davvero tutto perfetto! Accoglienza stupenda dell’Host che ci ha fatti sentire come a casa. Le camere sono molto carine, dotate di aria condizionata e il bagno davvero spazioso, nuovo e molto pulito come tutto il resto! Posizione eccellente vicino la strada principale con tanti ristoranti e vicino anche ai punti culturali principali. Assolutamente consigliato ☺️
