Eine entspannte und erholsame Nacht gehabt um am nächsten Tag weiterzuwandern.
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr grosszügig und vielseitig.
Eine kleine Karte am Abend, aber für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei und es war sehr gut gekocht.

Cons:

Das Badezimmer ist nach dem Duschen nass, da der Duschvorhang nicht alles Wasser zurückhält.

Nur eine Enttäuschung. Preis / Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht.

Auf der Wanderung von Basel nach Ste Croix sind wir in doch einigen Hotels eingekehrt und können entsprechend eine objektive Beurteilung abgeben.

Preis: das teuerste Hotel welches wir auf der gesamten Strecke unserer Wanderung von Basel nach Genf gebucht haben. Selbst die Übernachtung auf dem Weissenstein im 4 Sterne Hotel war günstiger. So auch das Hotel in Balsthal etc.

Was haben wir erhalten als teuerste Unterkunft? Leider herzhaft wenig. Das Zimmer hatte null Charme, alter Spannteppich, alles Uralt, kein Eisschrank, kein Wasserflasche, kein Kaffee, ein kleiner TV Bildschirm wo kaputt war, eine Dusche mit Duschvorhang wo nach dem Duschen der Boden pflosch Nass jeweils war, eine verkalkte Dusch Brause und eine Strasse vor dem Zimmer wo verkehrstechnisch Dauerbetrieb war.

Zum Frühstück gab es Joghurt vom Discounter Denner. Keine Gipfeli, kein Pain au Chocolate, keine Früchte.

Bei der Ankunft habe ich dem Gastgeber weiter mitgeteilt, dass wir zwei Personen in der ersten Nacht und nur eine Person in der zweiten Nacht sind. Beim Frühstück hat das prima geklappt. Das erste Frühstück war für uns zwei aufgedeckt, am 2. Morgen für mich alleine.

Als ich beim checkout den vollen Betrag bezahlen musste erwähnte ich nochmals, dass nur eine Person die 2. Nacht übernachtet hätte. Die Gastgeberin sagte schnippisch: wir hätten erwartet, dass sie angerufen hätten. Dann hätten wir was gemacht. Aha, aber fürs Frühstück haben sie nur für eine Person aufgetischt. So läuft das. So etwas von unsympathisch, nicht Kundenorientiert sondern auf sich selber orientiert.
Die zwei Übernachtungen waren eine riesige Enttäuschung. Das Hotel ist komplett in die Jahre gekommen und auch mit der kostenlosen Gastfreundschaft wird geknausert. Schade. Nie wieder. Es gibt so schöne, mit viel Herz und Charme geführten andere Hotels im Jura entlang der Wanderroute 5.

Friendly, convenient location for the Jura Crest Trail
Pros:

Friendly welcome. Great restaurant for dinner. Zimmer clean, comfortable bed. Slept well after a 7 hour hike on the Jura Crest Trail. The breakfast was super! Can highly recommend this hotel.
