Nice location, let down by terrible food
Pros:

The location, the room.

Cons:

The room wasn’t brilliantly cleaned, headboard very dusty and two happy birthday balloons left in a drawer. Wi fi not working. Food, disgusting!!!

Does the job, but poor WiFi
Pros:

It was pleasant and had everything we needed (apart from WiFi). It was spacious (fairly small bathroom) and had character.

Cons:

Very poor WiFi. It didn’t work in the room. Ending the day by watching something together was a part of the holiday for me and my daughter and we were really disappointed it couldn’t happen.

It was very hard to work out how to get into the hotel in the first place.

Staff members were curt and I didn’t feel particularly looked after, apart from the wonderful young woman on breakfast service by herself.

Pros:

Good location for walking and bus route.
Staff helpful and friendly.
Rooms clean, modern and large.

Cons:

Food.
Breakfasts were a bit of a shambles and over priced so much so that we decided to breakfast out at other establishments.
Evening meals over priced unless using their 40% off mains deal and were fairly average quality at best.

Cancelled stay - two hours before I was due to arrive!
Cons:

The property cancelled my stay two hours before I arrived. In four decades of travelling I have never come across such service. The on-site staff then couldn't even see fit to apologise. Their central reservations team did find a solution in a nearby hotel, but really - appalling service in every way.

Great location, Food and hospitality
Pros:

Great location, very clean and ample sized rooms. Great staff and the food was also very good

Cons:

Late check in due to loss of electricity but beyond the control of the hotel.

Would not recommend. Every other stay has been much much nicer

The view from the car park

Cons:

Room was very noisy due to location of access for other guests. Room facilities were very basic more like 3 star. Food portions smallest Ive had.
