It had a charm about it given its age (390 years) and history and the fact that the room was relatively newly renovated without loosing its character.
Despite having a washing machine it had no clothes dryer or place to hang and dry clothes. This could be rectified otherwise the washing machine is a bit of a waste.
I'm a returning customer and I would stay again. Love the quirky/old style of the old coach house building and all the rustic features that come with it. This visit I had some extra requirements and my requests were met without hesitation by the very accomodating member of the team who handled my check in. I stayed in a room with an external shower/toilet - it was clean, well stocked with toiletries and only just across the hall. The breakfast menu is great with a huge selection to eat. I didn't have time for dinner this time round but previously the food has been fantastic.
There was honestly nothing I didn't like, but the room I stayed in this time was at the front of the property above the door to the inn/restaurant which caused the room to vibrate every time it (the door) was slammed shut when people arrived/left. I got used to it but it was noticeable especially after retiring to my room to read before the doors were closed for the night.
Fabulous little find, it's like stepping back into history, but with all the mod cons.Great clean and comfy room and the food was also delicious.Enjoyed my little break.

Établissement historique situé légèrement à l’écart, en limite du village. Le charme du lieu est indéniable, et les rénovations entreprises apportent un confort certain aux chambres. Cela reste un établissement multi-centenaire, dont il faut accepter que tout ne puisse être 100% au goût du jour. Les efforts entrepris pour conserver le charme du lieu tout en lui offrant la modernité nécessaire à son confort sont évidents. Maison propre et bien tenue, personnel accueillant et attentionné, petit déjeuner maison varié et copieux. Le plus de l’hôtel : son restaurant, ouvert pour dîner du mercredi au dimanche. 100% fait maison, plus que correct sur les tarifs, dans une atmosphère chaleureuse de vieux relais d’autrefois.
On aurait aimé des rideaux occultants pour la lumière du matin.
