Day Waterfront Hotel

La habitación era grande y tenía una terraza con una vista preciosa al río. La dueña fue muy amable y atenta y hablaba buen inglés. Incluso nos dio desayuno antes de partir al slow boat y a mi novio le dio un pequeño regalo porque le contamos que sería su cumpleaños la semana siguiente, era realmente encantadora. El camino por el costado del río es muy bonito para pasear y la ubicación del hotel es excelente para eso

Yao greeted us at Day Waterfront Hotel like we were family. After two days travelling on the slow boat from Luang Prabang, going through border control, we were pretty tired! Yao suggested where we could go for a meal and a walk to stretch our legs. The Room was huge, with a great balcony overlooking the Mekong River to Laos. We felt so welcome, we wish we could have stayed longer. We will try and get back to see you next year, when the music festival is on!! Thank you for the breakfast.

This was a wonderful one night stay and our host could not have been more helpful. She helped us getting to the border, organising an early tuk tuk, and making sure we had a quick breakfast before we went. Recommend if you’re heading to Chiang Khong.

Très bon accueil. Ils nous ont tout expliqué pour le slowboat. Nous avons passé la frontière par nous-mêmes, ils nous ont juste commandé un tuk tuk.
La chambre était grande et propre avec une belle vue sur le Mékong.

This little place has one of the most amazing views. I couldn’t stop spending time on the little balcony, it was such a lovely spot to sit, relax, and take in the scenery. The riverside promenade just across the street is also beautiful and perfect for a walk or simply enjoying the view.

The location is excellent, with great cafés, restaurants, and ATMs all within walking distance. Make sure you have some cash with you :)

The owners are absolutely wonderful, so kind, welcoming, and helpful. The lady who owns the place even offers a small breakfast every morning, which is a lovely touch. I honestly didn’t want to leave.

One thing to keep in mind is that there isn’t an elevator, so you’ll need to carry your own luggage up to the second floor. It wasn’t a problem for me, but it’s worth knowing if you have heavy bags.

Very friendly and helpful.
Word of advice whilst it does cost slightly more for this family to arrange the transfer over the bridge, down to the port and the boat trip ahead. I regret saying no as it really wasn't that much more expensive than paying ourselves, we had a lot of stress getting through ourselves and the tuktuks at Laos customs overcharge but you can't negotiate as they just refuse to take you.
Save yourself the hassle.
Family also made us tea and toast even though breakfast not included.

Owners were so lovely and welcoming, went above and beyond and made our stay amazing. Clean rooms and amazing views over the river

Excellent location with Mekong River views. Wonderful helpful staff. English speaking and very accomodating. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

旅館就在河濱步道旁，非常安靜，傢俱簡單但很寬敞，光是待在房間就能享受湄公河美景，住了兩晚非常值得！

老闆娘不但英文流利還非常熱心，提供我們許多有用的資訊，甚至在我們離開搭上往龍坡邦的慢船經過旅館時還跟我們揮手，非常感動！

Good location, owners are very friendly and always ready to help. Everything worked well. The room was clean.

This hotel is perfect for an overnight stay before boarding your Mekong river cruise, just as I did. The hotel is quite simple and barebones, but is comfortable, clean and perfectly located. Views of the river are amazing and the value is excellent. Moreover, the owners, Kai and Yao are amazing and will make you feel at home. They speak some of the best English I have seen in Thailand. They coordinate with the cruise company proactively, and even had some breakfast ready at 7am before pick up, despite the room not including breakfast.
