This little place has one of the most amazing views. I couldn’t stop spending time on the little balcony, it was such a lovely spot to sit, relax, and take in the scenery. The riverside promenade just across the street is also beautiful and perfect for a walk or simply enjoying the view.

The location is excellent, with great cafés, restaurants, and ATMs all within walking distance. Make sure you have some cash with you :)

The owners are absolutely wonderful, so kind, welcoming, and helpful. The lady who owns the place even offers a small breakfast every morning, which is a lovely touch. I honestly didn’t want to leave.

One thing to keep in mind is that there isn’t an elevator, so you’ll need to carry your own luggage up to the second floor. It wasn’t a problem for me, but it’s worth knowing if you have heavy bags.

Very friendly and helpful.
Word of advice whilst it does cost slightly more for this family to arrange the transfer over the bridge, down to the port and the boat trip ahead. I regret saying no as it really wasn't that much more expensive than paying ourselves, we had a lot of stress getting through ourselves and the tuktuks at Laos customs overcharge but you can't negotiate as they just refuse to take you.
Save yourself the hassle.
Family also made us tea and toast even though breakfast not included.

旅館就在河濱步道旁，非常安靜，傢俱簡單但很寬敞，光是待在房間就能享受湄公河美景，住了兩晚非常值得！

老闆娘不但英文流利還非常熱心，提供我們許多有用的資訊，甚至在我們離開搭上往龍坡邦的慢船經過旅館時還跟我們揮手，非常感動！

Along the river

This hotel is perfect for an overnight stay before boarding your Mekong river cruise, just as I did. The hotel is quite simple and barebones, but is comfortable, clean and perfectly located. Views of the river are amazing and the value is excellent. Moreover, the owners, Kai and Yao are amazing and will make you feel at home. They speak some of the best English I have seen in Thailand. They coordinate with the cruise company proactively, and even had some breakfast ready at 7am before pick up, despite the room not including breakfast.

Die beste und hilfreichste Hostin der Welt! Wir haben den Grenzübergang nach Laos und dort die Slowboat-Tour geplant und nur eine Nacht in diesem Hotel verbracht. Die Hostin hat uns nicht übel genommen, dass wir ihr Angebot, das Slowboat und den Grenzübergang über einen Veranstalter für uns zu buchen, abgelehnt haben. Stattdessen hat sie uns den perfekten Plan erarbeitet, wie wir rechtzeitig über die Grenze kommen und vor Ort erst das Slowboat buchen. Sie hat jeden Schritt erklärt, sodass wir nirgends abgezockt werden konnten. 99% buchen mit einem Veranstalter, sodass man auf der Grenze auf sich allein gestellt ist. Wir haben es dank unserer Hostin aber geschafft und so auch noch Geld gespart. Vielen Dank!

Zudem ist die Aussicht über den Mekong auf Laos wahnsinnig schön und ein toller Ausblick auf den nächsten Tag. Wir können nur empfehlen, vor dem Grenzübergang hier zu schlafen!

The room had a lovely view over the river and the staff were extremely helpful.

1 Übernachtung vor Grenzübertritt nach Laos: Kleines, ordentlich geführtes Haus mit netten Eigentümern. Zimmer für eine Nacht funktionell und sauber. Supertoller Blick vom Balkon auf den Mekong. Wie hier schon mehrfach beschrieben, sehr behilflich bei Transport und späterem Grenzübertritt. Orga und Bezahlung direkt im Hotel (und in USD please) = hat alles perfekt funktioniert. Zu Fuss sind ATMs, Supermärkte und kleine Restaurants in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.
