A lovely overnight stay. Super views, comfortable bed, very clean room.
Pros:

A quiet country setting with beautiful views.

Cons:

Maybe some shelves in the bathroom. That is all really.

Comfortable bed with lovely sheets
Pros:

We had taken 2 rooms. One room faced the view, one faced the road. The road is noisy, so if possible, request the room facing the back of the facility. They had put a fan in the room, which was really well received due to the heat that the UK was experiencing.

Cons:

The stairs up to the rooms are a bit steep. Its not a huge problem as this is not advertised as a disability inclusive facility, but worth mentioning as it is challenging for anyone elderly. Also, sound travels between rooms. Luckily I know my neighbours.

Fabulous views, amazing staff, super comfortable room but...
Pros:

Staff were amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer.service and always smiling. The views were breathtaking and the food superb.

Cons:

Our room faced the road and was therefore very noisy because of the cars. Felt like Silverstone at times.

Highly recommend and would visit again
Pros:

We received a warm welcome, plenty of parking and an incredible location. The room was immaculate and we very much appreciated the fan. Views incredible. And we were able to book a table on arrival which was very accommodating considering we only checked in at 7:30pm, so thank you. Food was delicious and good value as were the cocktails. Enjoyed a morning cup of tea in peace on the terrace listening to birdsong

Amazing! Friendly! Helpful! Clean.
Pros:

The team are super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. the room was comfy, clean and perfect for what we needed. I wish we could have tried the restaurant as it looked amazing. I hope to visit again.

Staff great food and service good
Pros:

Was lovely location shame there is a lot of traffic noise

We would book again if we needed accommodation in that area.It is in Netherfield not Brighling
Pros:

We did not have breakfast but we had dinner.The food was excellent,lemon sole delicious,served in the Hide,sheltered from the heat with wonderful views.t ch

Cons:

It was very hot in the room,they supplied a fan which was good,everything was hot that night, it was no different than home.

Short & sweet 1 night stay, lovely room with a great view.
Pros:

The location was great as I was travelling with work and needed to be close to Ashburnham Place which was only a few minutes drive away. The room was lovely, clean and has a great view! The staff member I saw was friendly, polite and professional.

Cons:

Sadly on this occasion the restaurant wasn't open due to an issue in the kitchen, as a result they also closed the bar at 8pm. I was out for the evening and so wasn't planning to use the restaurant so this wasn't an issue but a glass of wine on my return would have been lovely. The staff member did try to find a solution but sadly it wasn't a feasible option.

Disappointing and certainly was not made aware that breakfast was not available

Views from the Terrace

Cons:

The restaurant was closed due to Extractor fan Issues. No breakfast available which apparently is the norm. Fortunately the local Village store opened at 0800 for breakfast which was most enjoyable.

A visitor experience out of the ordinary. The terrace would have been stunning if weather better
Pros:

Pleasant nicely furnished room, comfortable bed, excellent shower and bathroom, attractive public areas including restaurant, interesting menu, plentiful parking, fantastic view from the terrace, lovely staff

Cons:

Bedroom was on noisy main road, outside stairway to bedroom, maintenance needed in some areas, eg paintwork and large potholes at entrance to car park, breakfast not provided (but village cafe excellent and welcoming)
