The room was fairly basic, but comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay what really stood out, though, was the staff - everyone we dealt with was genuinely friendly, helpful and easygoing. When a missed flight connection meant we couldn't make it to Bridgewater for our first booked night, they were very understanding and accommodating, which we really appreciated after a disrupted day of travel. Great service and a very warm welcome when we finally arrived

The traffic noise if you have a front street facing room. But only a negative if you want to sleep in late.
Was in a good location for my onward travel, the hotel was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was superb! it’s possible to find free on street parking between the hours of 6pm and 8am,
The hotel is very old and full of character. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The restaurant in the evening served great food, good wine list too. The morning breakfast was very generous and served in a separate breakfast room than the evening restaurant. A good overnight stopping place on the way down to Cornwall.
Initially I was a bit taken back by the fact my bedroom didn't have a window, just one small skylight, but as I was only there for the night, I got over it!
All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was exceptional.
The food was really excellent. Breakfast was a surprise - better than most more expensive hotels. The restaurant again really excellent. Service professional, polite and friendly.

Great spot with comfortable, fully equipped rooms, spread across multiple interconnected buildings that give the hotel a charming, labyrinthine feel. The pub and restaurant downstairs are ideal for dinner, while breakfast is made to order from a menu each morning. The location is lovely for a short walk to the local church, with the added convenience of a large supermarket just around the corner.
