An Exceptional Stay – The Buckley Hotel

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Buckley Hotel and, without hesitation, would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere peaceful, welcoming and special.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely awesome. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone we encountered was friendly, attentive and genuinely happy to help. The level of service really stood out and made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay.

Our room was simply tranquil. It was the perfect place to switch off and relax, with the most beautiful views. One of my favourite things was being able to sit quietly and listen to the water — it created such a peaceful and calming atmosphere. The views were exceptional and really added something special to the whole experience. It felt like a genuine escape from the everyday hustle and bustle.

The food was very, very good — honestly, outstanding. Every meal we had was beautifully presented, full of flavour and clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. It was one of the highlights of our stay and exceeded our expectations.

What really made The Buckley Hotel stand out, though, was the combination of beautiful surroundings, exceptional views, peaceful accommodation, fantastic food and genuinely brilliant staff. It is the kind of place where you can properly relax, enjoy your surroundings and feel looked after without the service ever feeling intrusive.

We left feeling completely refreshed and already talking about returning. The Buckley Hotel is an absolute gem, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. A truly memorable stay from beginning to end.

Das Zimmer war sehr chic eingerichtet, super nettes Personal, gutes Essen abends und morgens und sehr sauber.
Ich konnte mein Fahrrad sicher unterstellen und am nächsten Tag noch eine Radtour mit dem Sohn der Familie unternehmen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit bei euch!

The location is stunning: the building is set off the main road and is a short walk from a friendly village pub. There are just 6 rooms that are lovingly maintained and in keeping with the building.
The Chinese owner Lixia is so warm & welcoming. She is also knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the location, giving us great advice on beautiful walks from right outside the door.
The hotel bar is home to home cooked Chinese cuisine several nights a week and we had a super tasty feast.
We had a twin room and the beds were super comfortable- helped by some gorgeous 1000 thread count linens.

Everything about this stay was excellent. From the moment we arrived until we left Lucia just couldn’t do enough for us. She even forwarded my phone charger by post to my home. Continued success with your business.

My stay was truly great. The owners were exceptionally kind, caring and thoughtful. Breakfast and dinner very good. View from room was super as was the room itself, I haven't any words to describe the bed, other than to say it was the best I have ever slept in. I wish them well.

Beautiful hotel in a magical location. Hosts are super laid back and made are stay very easy and comfortable. There is an oriental restaurant with freshly made amazing food. I highly recommend it.

The host family were all LOVELY - and so friendly and caring..
They not only gave a warm welcome to us - but also to our small dog.

Due to family commitments in the area, we were only able to eat once at the Buckley Arms - however the once we did was memorable and the food delicious!

Amazing views from the breakfast room and garden, great breakfast and home cooked Chinese food. Lovely room and fantastic bed. Great location for exploring Snowdonia and surrounding areas
