The location was great, about a five minute walk to the shops. The bedroom was air-conditioned. Cheap long stay parking just opposite the hotel, that was good. We liked the fact dogs were not allowed in the hotel, except the bar area (assistance dogs being the exception).
Staff can be hard to find when you need them. We were not impressed with the frosted bathroom door as we could see each other sitting on the toilet!! Also there was no light above or near the wash basin making it difficult to see in the mirror above (this was in Brown bedroom). Breakfast menu didn't include everything that was available i.e. fruit juices and some menu items were not available. Hated toasted sourdough bread, goes rock hard!
Really lovely staff
Needs aircon - was boiling hot so if staying in the summer need to be mindful of that
Solo la posizione.
Struttura fatiscente e sporca.
Personale assente.
Colazione inesistente per chi non ama la colazione all’inglese.
The room was clean and well proportioned. The bed was comfortable with ample pillows. I particularly liked that the hotel had a small bottle of milk in the fridge for making a cup of tea, so often this is missed by hotels. There was a very good choice for breakfast which was served - a real treat. When we entered the room there was a fan running and music playing which set a nice atmosphere. This hotel is very well located. The entertainment provided in the evening by the piano player was simply superb.
The arrangements at reception were haphazard. You have to ring a bell for service and the reception seemed squeezed under the stairs. Given the lovely spaces available within the hotel I felt the reception area was a let down.
Great location, good decor, spacious and friendly staff
The room was a bit grubby, towels needed replacing, they were a dirty shade
Of light grey.
The toilet seat needed replacing it was rusty and the underside was coming away.
Shower gel was empty on arrival although replenished when asked.
Ingleside House has been extensively and very tastefully refurbished and redecorated. The location is superb for exploring all the delights of Cirencester. I would thoroughly recommend staying here
Only a very minor point, breakfast service was much slower than we would have expected. They did seem a little understaffed that morning
Rooms comfortable and well equipped
Certain areas needed some maintenance, garden area, worn carpets.
Next-door location for the theatre (we were staying there specifically to see "Ottilie" - the theatre and hotel are part of a big old building complex). Further excellent Billy-Joelesque entertainment later in the piano bar. Parking opposite the site was fine, and a ten-minute walk into town. Cirencester is great to wander around, especially on Charter Market days, and a good base for exploring local Cotswold sites. The key attraction for us is the brilliant Barn Theatre, which stages runs of a few high-quality productions per year, all worth seeing.
There were some basic problems with the room given but fortunately the staff were very helpful and able to move us. Otherwise we would not have been happy with the quality. Price was on the high side but it was convenient for the theatre, especially in the rain! Next time we visit Cirencester's splendid theatre and market we might look for a less costly stay - unless the piano guy was in the bar....
Location and friendliness of staff
Breakfast was horrendous and room was hot, Dyson fan was pointless
Well located and easy to find. Room comfortable, if a little dark. Staff generally friendly and helpful.
Cleanliness of room was superficial, shelves and skirtings dusty and left marks on clothes. Breakfast menu limited - cereals, fresh fruit, toast not offered. Ordered scrambled eggs which arrived half cooked and inedible. Dining room dark and gloomy.
It’s been decorated beautifully. All finishings to a high standard. Exactly what you’d hope for from a hotel that’s classed as ‘boutique’
We only stayed for one night and couldn’t find a fault. We stayed on an exceptionally hot night so worth nothing it doesn’t have air conditioning but the room did have a Dyson fan in it which helped
