Die Lage ist nicht gut. Das Zimmer Nr.1 liegt zur Straße und zu den Gleisen. Es gibt keine Nachtruhe für die Bahn, die Güterzüge fahren die ganze Nacht hindurch.
Es gibt nur wenige Parkplätze vorm Hotel.
Da die Fahrspur zur Rheinautofähre direkt vor der Ein-/Ausfahrt langführt, ist das Ein- und Ausfahren bei Stau dort mit Wartezeit möglich.
In der Beschreibung ist nicht ganz klar beschrieben, ob es Frühstück gibt, ich war davon ausgegangen, aber es gibt kein Frühstück.

It looked nice from the outside

Cons:

Our stay at this hotel was awful. The staff were unfriendly, and we didn't get a good feeling about the place from the start, but the worst thing was the noise. Express trains thundered past the window all through the night, making it virtually impossible to sleep. This is one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in, we couldn't wait to leave. We even considered going to sleep in the park, but it was raining.

Tolle Lage direkt am Rhein, gutes Restaurant im gleichen Gebäude, nettes Personal.

Cons:

Ganz in der Nähe sind Bahngleise und alle 10 Minuten fährt ein Güterzug, es war sehr laut.
Unser Zimmer war in schwarz gehalten, dunkel und erdrückend und mit Gespenstern auf der Tapete, irgendwie gruselig 🙈

It is not a Hotel - a glorified hostel would describe it better. No guest service, rooms not cleaned or towels changed during stay of 3 nights. Breakfast didn't seem to be an option. No staff at reception, on two occasions, once on check in and once when we wanted some information had to ring bell and what looked like a Maitre De from the restaurant came out, quite grumpy. The room could have been good, but it wasn't maintained. Kettle - but no cups, tea or coffee, just some old sachets of milk or sugar. No soap dispenser at sink, no tissues in the very scruffy box provided. On the floor below, over two days dirty glasses and take away rubbish was left outside the room door, still there when we left. !! Very old pillows and poor fitted sheet. We felt so alienated we didn't want to eat in the restaurant, which was a shame, as we like Italian food. Car parking is a disaster, it is reserved for restaurant guests and we were sent packing to some waste ground of doubtful security.

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war rundum gelungen. Die Einrichtung ist außergewöhnlich geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns unsere Suite, die in einem feudal-maritimen Stil gehalten war – elegant, stilvoll und mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf den Rhein.

Auch das Zimmer „Kapitäns Kajüte“ war ein echtes Highlight: authentisch wie eine echte Kapitänskajüte eingerichtet und gleichzeitig sehr hochwertig und geschmackvoll umgesetzt. Der Blick auf den Rhein machte den Aufenthalt in beiden Zimmern noch einmal besonders.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls hervorragend – direkt am Rhein gelegen und idyllisch an einen kleinen Park angeschmiegt, was für eine sehr entspannte Atmosphäre sorgt.

Das hauseigene Restaurant „La Cucina“ hat unseren Aufenthalt perfekt abgerundet. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend, das Essen hervorragend und das Personal besonders zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Insgesamt können wir dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder.
