My visit to Rishikesh was a blessing !
Pros:

It was my first visit to Rishikesh and stayed at The Neeraj Ganga Heritage Palace for two nights. It is one of the best Luxury hotels to stay in Rishikesh. The Neeraj Ganga Heritage Palace sits directly on the water at Muni Ki Reti on Badrinath Road in Rishikesh, India. The location is phenomenal, right on the *Ganga Ghat*, perfectly situated between Ram Jhula, and Janki Setu. Parmarth Niketan just across the river. I love the peaceful riverbank setting between Ram Jhula and Janki Setu, offering direct access to the River Ganges. The hotel offers heritage- styled rooms and suites with panoramic views of the River Ganges. We received a very warm welcome by the reception staff. The booking included breakfast and dinner and being a vegetarian I thoroughly enjoyed the varieties of food served at the restaurant.The staff in the restaurant were friendly and went an extra mile to serve and helped us to choose lovely dishes from the menu. The hotel is well maintained and its cleanliness is second to none. I felt very safe and homely staying in this hotel. The Hotel provides airport transfers to and from and private hire for any places you want to visit in Rishikesh. The hight light of my stay in this hotel was to have close access to watch the Ganga Aarti, a spiritual ritual conducted daily right at the banks of the sacred River Ganga!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rishikesh as a perfect location which has close access to the River Ganges !! Staying in Rishikesh offers a peaceful experience with beautiful views of the Ganga River, along with a rich spiritual and cultural atmosphere!!

The location is excellent, right on the banks of river Ganga. Family suit rooms were large and spacious.

Cons:

The AC for large family suite room on top floor and in June heat, was ineffective. The view was somewhat spoilt by hawkers and food carts in front, on the banks of river. Hotel food was mediocre.

Very close to Ram Jhula abd Janki Setu, walkable distance. Right at the banks of River Ganga with direct access to the ghat. Has the Cafe and Restaurant available for tasty food. Easy to reach from Jolly Grant airport (Dehradun airport) as it is on the main road. Cozy property and helpful staff. Had a comfortable stay there!

I booked a room for 4 adults, the room was shown to to have two bed rooms. It turned out that the beds were not in two separate bedrooms. One bed has to be entered through the other bed room. Booking.com should make this abundantly clear in their web site of this problem, once you see that I requested for 2 rooms for 4 adults. I did not

Excelente hosedage, com localização primorosa, bem as margens do Ganges, com acesso privilegiado. Sua edificação garante acesso por carro bem facilitado, e a vista do Parmarth Niketan Ghat e da ponte iluminada Junki impressiona demais. Apesar de ser bem posicionado estrategicamente em uma área cheia de visual e ação, ainda sim é um local silencioso. Tem uma ótima cozinha vegetariana, mesmo para ultracarnivoros como eu. O quarto é excelente e bem ocidentalizado, sem surpresas nem exotismos.

Cons:

Não pude ficar toda estadia, por motivos de saúde. Inclusive,, quero registrar meu agradecimento pelo apoio do staff.

Its not a 5 star property like they advertise. Maintenance is so-so, staff is just doing their job, they don't bother to brief you about your entitlements as per package, don't inform about wifi etc unless asked for. The same location which is a boon is a bane! Too noisy to get a good night's sleep! The quality of the tea bags in the room was horrible...the tea offered at breakfast made up for it though.

There are far better places and hospitality nearby that my friends who I met there told me about.
Pros:

It’s a beautiful view of Mother Ganges.

Cons:

It is located right next to the roadside . there are about 100 horns honking per hour and dogs parking. Noise is constant and I was only able to sleep a few hours a night or so. Tried to go to Lakshman Jul bridge by cab or rickshaw and couldn’t get there due to traffic. Staff were not willing to give extra snacks, print my receipt or change my room. Walking to Dan Jul bridge by roadside is also risky.
