Charming traditional hotel on beautiful grounds directly on Seestrasse.
Pros:

Beautiful grounds and facilities. Warm staff.

Cons:

No front desk person from around 10pm until 8am, but with the traditional key system. Made retrieving key at night and checkout difficult.

Gegenüber vom Tegernsee

Das Hotel Maier zum Kirschner liegt zentral am Tegernsee und ist auch mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln einfach zu erreichen. Der Check-in erfolgte freundlich und schnell. Auch sonst waren die freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen an der Rezeption immer für Anliegen ansprechbar.
Beim Frühstück wurde der leckere Kaffee an den Tisch gebracht, man musste also nicht mit der vollen Tasse herumgehen. Sonst gab es ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, das keine Wünsche für einen guten Start in den Tag offen ließ. Obst, Käse, Wurst und Schinken, Cerealien und Gebäck-man wusste nicht was man zuerst verspeisen sollte da alles frisch und appetitlich angerichtet war. Zu erwähnen ist, das es verschiedene Räume für das Frühstück gab, was der Ruhe förderlich ist. Es gibt im Hotel Maier zum Kirschner noch Einzelzimmer, die geräumig, mit einem großen, bequemen Bett, einem gemütlichen Sessel und Balkon mit Balkonmöbeln ausgestattet sind. Die Badausstattung ist modern und funktionell. Ein großer Garten mit Pool, ausreichender Anzahl Liegen und Sitzgruppen trägt zur Erholung bei. Hunde sind in diesem Hotel auch gerne gesehene Gäste. Wer außerdem ein Hotel möchte, das oberbayerisch eingerichtet ist, findet hier, was er sucht.

Pros:

Die Lage ist perfekt (nah am See und nah am Dorfzentrum). Für mich punktet das Hotel Maier zum Kirschner durch ein unprätentiöses Erscheinungsbild von außen und besticht dann durch Qualität und Eleganz im Innern. Sobald man eintritt, öffnet sich ein ganzes Wohlfühlreich mit einer großzügigen Gartenanlage.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist fantastisch, es bleiben keine Wünsche offen.

Ich hätte nichts gefunden, was ich beanstanden könnte.

Authentic vibe, great location, great breakfast.

Cons:

The room was extremely hot during the night, it was never below 28 degrees, I didn’t sleep more than 3 hours. In my opinion the room shouldn’t have been rented out if they don’t have a solution for this during hot summer nights. When confronted with the horrible night I had they first tied to argue with me and then just said “sorry”. No refund, no “here’s a little something for your inconvenience”, no empathy with a customer leaving your hotel after a terrible night. Very disappointing and cannot recommend.

Idyllinen, siisti ja linjakas hotelli idyllisen pienen järven välittömässä läheisyydessä. Hyvä ja henkilökohtainen palvelu. Vahva suositus.

Cons:

Olipa vaikea löytää perille, koska Booking.comissa oleva osoite ohjaa ajamaan hotellille "takakautta" ja tämä käynti on suljettu portilla. Jos laittaisi hotellin osoitteeksi "Seestrasse", niin se ajattaisi sisään talon etupuolelta eli järvenpuolelta, mistä pääseekin sisälle.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war mein persönliches Highlight! Wir waren mit dem Zimmer sehr zufrieden, groß und komfortabel! Ich mochte es auch, dass man Süßigkeiten zur freien Entnahme hatte.

Pros:

Wunderbare Lage, man fühlt sich sofort wohl, ganz ganz toll. Leider hatten wir wegen einer Baustelle daneben schon sehr früh etwas Lärm, da unser Zimmer zu dieser raus ging. Da kann aber das Hotel nichts dafür.
