Place was OK
Kitchen Staff just stood and stared.....weird
Staff were very helpful and friendly I would stay there again.
Building was very interesting and in keeping with the period .
Great location, spacious, very nice looking.
The beds were very hard and the shower weakly powered
Breakfast was not available
The bathroom though clean was tired, if the soap holder does not work remove/replace it! The worst thing was that the curtains did not fit and I had to prop them shut with the ironing board. Needs reminder & clear place to leave the key as there are no staff available.
Noise was a problem but only as the world cup final was on (I don't blame them for that)
A nice pub with accommodation that echoed its status as an old coaching inn. The staff were helpful and attentive, greeting us as we arrived and accommodating our need to leave at 4.15am by means of a rear door. The room was huge and the bathroom lovely. There was no food available, but that was made clear on the website beforehand. Overall a good stay.
The World Cup semi final was on downstairs with lots of noise from fans. Not something that we or the owners could have predicted, but since England was beaten, at least the revelry didn't go on too late 😳
Good location and free car parking
Nothing
All very good thank yiu
My second time of staying here and I was upgraded to a deluxe double. Great price the night I stayed. Traditional pub with rooms, some rooms are being redecorated and have traditional features such as oak beams.
The room overlooked a roundabout so quite a bit of traffic noise from 6am. £12 for a large white wine from their bar.
Leaving the hotel
Arrived, and the booking in was poor could not understand English. The step into the room not frwarned, heating was on, the bed rock hard, coffee and kettle poor, glass metal table dangerous as he'll, window on half partial open, bedstead end very poor at knee height and kept catching knees. Bathroom poor cleanliness wise with sinks still had cleaning fluid and soap in. Stairwell no proper bannister to hold onto. No breakfast. Football on TV till early hours, our room was right above TV and bar, not Forwarded. Very expensive for a very bad night.
