We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Al Pelmo.
Pros:

A wonderful location in a small village in the Dolomites. The hotel staff were friendly, personable and efficient. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent, and the dinner choices changed daily.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel e mi sono trovato davvero molto bene. La camera era spaziosa, accogliente e curata, con il valore aggiunto di due terrazzini dai quali si godeva una splendida vista sul paese e sulle montagne circostanti.
Molto comodo anche il parcheggio situato sul retro dell’hotel, che rende il soggiorno ancora più pratico. Ho inoltre avuto modo di cenare nella struttura e ho apprezzato molto la qualità dei prodotti locali e la buona cucina.
Un’esperienza davvero positiva, in un ambiente piacevole e con una bella atmosfera. Consigliato!

A “hikers” pit stop, don’t bother with the restaurant,
Pros:

Great location - although parking was a bit of a nightmare as several work vehicles were using the small car park. The gentleman at reception was lovely and very helpful as was the mature lady in the restaurant. The room had a great view of the Dolomites and a balcony, the water was hot and plenty of pressure in the shower

Cons:

The rooms are “tired” and show evidence of many repairs and alterations. Showers are minimal in size as was the bathroom.
The restaurant was a big disappointment. I ordered the pea soup for starters which was good and the pork chop for main. Menu stated “Pork chop with herbs, served with apples and buttered potatoes”
What was served was a very thin chop (straight from the freezer I suspect) which was over cooked where thin and under cooked near the bone. Brushed with a little herb butter and served with fries and a bit of lemon, The “chef” rushed around barking instructions with a face like thunder and made the overall experience rushed and uncomfortable. Same guy at breakfast, same atmosphere. A pity as the young staff working were really nice.

Soggiorno breve ma rifarei, la spa semplice ma molto completa.
Pros:

Colazione abbondante e variata, salata e dolce, frutta, succhi, caffè anche di orzo e ginseng .
La posizione non è delle migliori ma va bene.

Cons:

Per quanto riguarda il Ristorante forse una carta a parte e non solo il menù fisso ci starebbe.
E anche un secondo un po’ più abbondante.
Tovaglioli e posate nel sacchettino no, meglio di stoffa.

I stayed at Hotel Al Pelmo for one night during my bikepacking trip, and I had a really great experience.
When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by a very kind and funny lady at the reception. We had a really nice chat, and she also showed me where I could safely leave my bike in a nearby garage.
The room was small but cosy, clean and comfortable, with a terrace and a beautiful view of the mountains. Although the hotel is located next to the road, it was surprisingly quiet and I had no problem sleeping.
One of the things I really appreciated was the wellness area. After a full day of cycling, the sauna and jacuzzi were absolutely perfect for relaxing and recovering.
Dinner was also excellent, and the waitress was very kind and patient enough to translate the whole menu from Italian into English for me. Breakfast was excellent as well, with a very good selection.
I also really appreciated the little details. At the end of my stay, when I was hesitating to take some water with me for the road, the waiter simply told me that I could go into the kitchen and take a bottle of mineral water. A small gesture, but it really made me feel welcome.
Before leaving, another very kind receptionist saw me off, and we had another great chat. Overall, I felt genuinely welcomed here. For a cyclist, this was a really pleasant stop during my bikepacking trip, and I would definitely stay here again.

Il gestore è una persona gentile, disponibile e simpatica. La posizione è buona, inoltre dispone di un comodo parcheggio.

Il cameriere/barista della prima colazione era un cafone come mai visti in tutti i miei soggiorni. Era come se fossimo a casa sua e se fosse infastidito della presenza degli ospiti. Fischiettava, rimproverava chi metteva il pane nel tostapane, il caffè espresso lo serviva quasi lanciandolo e con alcuni clienti aveva un eccesso di confidenza, fastidiosissimo! Il contrario del gestore, peccato! Oltre questo, piccola osservazione per l'assenza dell'aria condizionata, ma di poco conto rispetto l'addetto alle prime colazioni.
