Perfect stay
Pros:

Lovely hotel and excellent service. Staff were very friendly, and our room was very comfortable. We enjoyed a tasty meal in the restaurant and enjoyed a drink in the lovely outdoor section. Right in the heart of pretty Kirkby Lonsdale, which is ideally located for beautiful walks. We loved our stay here!

Cons:

A slightly bigger room would have been better as we have 2 med., elderly dogs- but it was a special offer, so excellent value all round!

Rest and recoup with some lovely food
Pros:

Really nice building. The restaurant was incredible. Had dinner there and then got breakfast included. Can’t rate the food highly enough.
Room was small but quaint and very clean.

Staff were all so lovely

Cons:

Unfortunately our shower broke but the manager fixed it in a short time and accommodated us by taking drinks off our dinner bill.

The walls are a bit thin so could hear the rickety staircase and people walking above us but otherwise no problems

Cons:

The room shouldn't be used as a bedroom, the window is above the exit at night and has very thin glass so can hear everyone leaving. The bed (head side) is below the stairs up to the next floor and from 6am people were walking up and down. It was a nightmare for getting any sleep due to both things

Terribly hot room. I had no fan although two other rooms booked did. Loud noise that continued until 3am. Dust across main beam. Booking.com refunded my money.

Central and clean. Room was spotless

Cons:

Very creaky, our room was directly under the stairs to second floor. Breakfast could have had basic options of fruit, yogurt etc. was hot or homemade granola offered which we didn’t enjoy.
