View of castle was lovely food, service, all the staff were polite and friendly eapecially Frank went above and beyond to help, local and fresh products used.
Bed was a bit low and small for the taller person, tbe bin in the beer garden was not emptied regularlly and limited choice in Gins however we do understand the limits deliveries have to this
It’s in an excellent location. That’s all.
Boobed thru Bookings.com, specifically for a twin room. Got a double, had to share a bed with my son.
On check in we were told the kitchen was open until 7:45. When trying to book a table told 7:30 was too late for the kitchen.
Server happily told us he’d been getting the soup
If the day wrong, fortunately we didn’t order the soup,
Bar gents toilets one untuned blocked.
Server singing along when he eventually brought dinner. No rerun to see if we wanted a second drink.
At breakfast the previous nights server was in his running kit arguing with the morning team about something in public areas.
The whole place rather shabby.
All this for £196 for own night - on a weeks tour this is double the average, and by far the worst hotel & service.
Should I ever stay on Holy Island again it will be elsewhere.
Amazing location and views of Lindisfarne.
Great location. Excellent staff.
The location and view from the hotel rooms were stunning! Breakfast was good with a very decent selection. Our evening meal was lovely as well. Staff were all amazing and very friendly too!
Location good.
The hotel is in need of refurbishment and grubby. Clear lack of investment but charging high prices.
I would not recommend this hotel.
The location was SUPERB- right next to the Priory. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good.
The room was a little dated and the bathroom was tiny.
Amazing location right by the priory and church. Very peaceful once the day crowds had left the island.
A better choice of yoghurt at breakfast, not everyone likes strawberry flavour.
Location
Perfect position
Friendly helpful staff
Comfortable room
Had to unblock shower plug to avoid flooding!
No 'spare/master"' room key when locked myself out.
Friendly staff. Nice location.
Breakfast: poor selection, long wait for more coffee (eventually had to brew more ourselves because the girl working did not know how to use the brewer) and very unclean breakfast room. Tables, chairs, cutlery etc was all full of crumbs and the cleaning we observed was not convicing.
The house and interior is old and a bit worn.
Staff was friendly and helpful, but requests or orders were frequently forgotten or not forwarded.
Location. Friendly staff.
Needed a deep clean and decorating.
