Great weekend away
Pros:

Great location, easy to walk to ParkRun and Great Lake to swim in afterwards.
Very friendly and helpful staff

Cons:

Restaurant closed early on the Saturday evening but plenty of other places to eat locally

Lovely continental breakfast served on a platter.

Cons:

The only negative thing about our stay is that the the whole town is closed on a Monday including bars and restaurants. Lovely town and well worth a visit.

A lovely stay in a beautiful room
Pros:

The hotel is in the centre of alphen and is beautifully decorated with a garden at the rear for you to sit or and relax.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and my room was really lovely. Room 11 was on the top floor (climbing two flights of stairs, which were a little dubious) and was an attic style room. All white washed paint with a large bed, modern bathroom with large shower and TV, coffee machine and they provided a fan to use when it was warm. A lovely stay and I would recommend it to anyone who was thinking of staying in Alphen ann den Rijn.

Cons:

The only thing I would say is that there was no late check out option and on the day of my departure, there was no where to wait in the hotel to grab a drink whilst I waited to be collected for my trip home. The hotel was 'closed' and therfore i had to wait in the garden.
