The location and friendly staff.
The breakfast was good too.
Water stations in reception was handy too to fill up water bottles
Says it has a pool at the hotel but it is actually in another building behind it. Couple minutes walk away. Lots of stairs - slippery.
Changing room had one shower with just a curtain.
The hotel room was very warm had to ring reception for a fan. Couldn't open the window
The £50 refundable deposit wasn't ideal .
Everything!
The only missing thing was a fridge, but I didn't need one.
The central location to the amenities of Newcastle
Location
You had to put £50 deposit and spend it in the hotel I’m still waiting for my money to go back in bank 4 days later.£20 for that meal
Spacioys dining and bar area
Carpet in room very dirty
Chair in room staimed and not cleaned
Shower partition loose and not cleaned
The building is amazing and location is fantastic.
It is a bit tired/ dated in the rooms and basic.
This hotel is next to the railway station. It is near the Cathedral, the river, the bridges.
Nice breakfast. The room had a fridge.
I must have been given the smallest room in the hotel, with a minute window that opened 3 inches and a view of a wall 10 feet away. The kettle was in a nice cabinet, but no plug so either had to go on the floor or I had to sit on the bed to get past my bag to a chest of drawers to plug it in. No replacement of biscuits after arrival ones.
The toilet didn’t flush on arrival ( maintenance men came promptly)
A £50 hold was put on my credit card on arrival.
Location, staff and the decor inside matched the outside
Nothing I couldn't fault it
Bathroom was only positive
Apart from the bathroom, the room was dirty and unsuitable
Close to everything I wanted
Other guests slamming doors and making a noise late in evening
It was so close to the station
Walking distance to the attraction’s and the shops. The staff was so friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The shower was a bit weird it was too close to the wall.
This is the kind of hotel that, as full time nomadic travelers, I wish I could find everywhere. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and the pool was fun with kids. The location was perfect for our car free travel mode arriving and exploring Newcastle by train and metro.
Needed a little maintenance, but honestly it made the price make sense and it’s clear that they have planned the needed maintenance.
Location and price, the hotel is ideally placed for city access.
Its dated, not an issue for me but others may look down on it but as a place to base yourself it couldn't be better.
Location, literally a walk up the road to the Utilita Arena
Hotel Very out dated, bad smells all over. Walking t to the room through very long corridors or hall ways Reminded me of the movie the Shinging
I Paid same price as my niece & got a totally different old out dated smelly hot room & windows didn't open compared to hers which was roomy had lots of modern little touches & updates to it that make difference like air con, widows that opens, room to move without banging into the bed or chair.
Location was great
Couldn’t open the window and the room was so hot
On Check in there was 2 staff at reception while one dealing with my friend the other just ignored me I stood for a while before the receptionist dealing with my friend checked me in other than that check in was easy and they accommodated us to have a room near each other when we asked
I felt ignored from one of the receptionists
Good breakfast - buffet with choice of hot full breakfast items, toast, cereals, fruit and yoghurt, comfortable room, easy to pay to access the leisure centre. Location is right next to the train station and they also store luggage in a locked room if needed before/after check out. Small fridge in room.
Room was quite small and the extractor fan in the bathroom loud, but it wasn't an issue for my short stay.
