Property was fab
I didn’t like the fact I was told my holding fee would be paid instantly after check out to now be told it’s 10 working days how many clients have this establishment robbed people of said holding fees disgusting:
Good location, room was fair, I didn’t use any of the facilities so cannot comment further !
Great staff
The shower didn’t work
The WiFi didn’t work and I had to be switched to a different internal channel
Whenever I book via Booking.com nowadays I always get put into a room on the first floor far removed from the lobby area
A lovely heritage hotel in a superb location, a bit down at heel in the room and no air-conditioning, but the weather has been a bit challenging especially for Newcastle, I would stay again if they sorted out their parking.
An absolutely terrible parking partner, they have 'outsourced' this to some company that seems to struggle with the concept of a 24-hour clock. I paid for parking until 12 midday on the day of departure but they translated this to 12 midnight so when I was asleep they kindly sent a message saying I had only 15 minutes of parking left! I am sure lots of hotel guests leave their accommodation at midnight! Be very careful if you park there. Spoilt our visit.
Fast check in with the touch screen in the lobby.. Clean room
Bed a tad small
Food was very good but it was the service given by staff, especially reception, that was excellent - so helpful and obliging.
My mattress was very hard and my hips and shoulders hurt after sleeping on it but reception sent up another duvet for me to put over it to sleep on. Job done; perfect nights sleep.!
Hardness of mattress and smallish room for a twin
Very friendly staff and clean and tidy hotel, next door to station made it very easy to get to quickly
Location near to town and station
Nothing
Location, directly beside the main station. We had expected some noise from the railway, but no, none at all.
The room was very spacious. The staff friendly and competent.
A good choice of breakfast.
Nothing.
A great stay
Not a thing
Cool !
Nothing
The fact it was in the Station for train to and from.
£50 refundable deposit...still have no clue why?
No towels in room, when supplied, given a dirty grey, ripped "leisure centre" towel, what member of staff actually thought it was acceptable to put this in my room!!!?? No shower for me.
Breakfast shocking at 9am...food obv lying for hours and no refreshing of items (cooked). All meat items hard and cold.
Never again.
Breakfast had a good selection it's a pity the pastries aren't warm.
