Mooie locatie, maar accommodatie overrated
Pros:

De locatie is fantastisch en bij helder weer zijn de uitzichten vast en zeker spectaculair. Vanuit het hotel zijn direct diverse wandelingen te starten.
Ook het lichtplan voor de kamer was mooi.

Cons:

Onsmakelijke taxidermie humor op verschillende plekken in het hotel.
Diner in restaurant viel tegen.
Ontbijtbuffet vergelijkbaar met andere hotels, afgezien van het zelf je ei kunnen bakken (onpraktisch, waarschijnlijk vooral leuk voor kinderen).
Gedateerde badkamer, knop regendouche werkte niet, initieel fluctuerende temperatuur douchewater en na enkele minuten bleef de douche koud. Al met al was het wat dat betreft een te prijzige overnachting, en zou ik de volgende keer genoegen nemen met een overnachting op een andere locatie (maar deze plek alsnog gebruiken als startpunt voor een wandeling - groot parkeerterrein beschikbaar).

Eine Überaschung am Ende der Mandlwandstraße
Pros:

Frühstück war sehr gut. Gute Auswahl an Möglichkeiten. Am besten hat mir der kleine Bauernofen gefallen, an dem man sich eine Eierspeiße nach eigenem wunsch machen konnte.
Ausflugsziele wie die Burg Werfen oder die Eisriesenhölen sind schnell erreichbar. Auch können vor der Haustür schöne Wanderungen starten.

Cons:

Eigentlich nichts. Wir sind zufällig auf die Unterkunft gestoßen. Waren dann so begeistert, dass wir gleich wieder gebucht haben.
