Un hôtel sympa
Pros:

L'hôtel a un bon emplacement tout près de la gare centrale de milan, ce qui facilite le transport vers toutes les zones de la ville et même les lacs autour.
Le monsieur qui se trouvait à la réception a été très gentil a pris le temps de bien nous renseigner, encore une fois je le remercie.
Nous avons eu la chambre plus tôt que l'heure du check in parce que nous sommes arrivés tôt. La chambre est très bien, les installations sont neuves et modernes, une belle salle de bain et des équipements fonctionnels (même un sèche cheveux).
Je recommande cet hôtel et j'y reviendrai pour ma prochaine fois à milan!

Cons:

Le prix est élevé par rapport au standing de l'hôtel en général. S'il était un peu plus bas ça aurait été parfait.

We stayed at Hotel Calypso in Milan and unfortunately experienced one of the most disrespectful and shocking check-in experiences we have ever had in any hotel.

From the very beginning, the older bald gentleman at reception behaved in a cold, irritated, and openly rude manner toward us. We arrived slightly before the official check-in time, which we completely understand can happen and we had absolutely no issue waiting if the room was not ready yet.

When we arrived, he was sitting at reception watching television, so there was no visible stressful situation or busy check-in rush happening at the time. Despite this, his attitude toward us was immediately aggressive and dismissive.

During check-in, we politely asked whether it would be possible to leave our luggage at the hotel the following day and pick it up around 5pm before our train. Before we could even finish the sentence, he interrupted us loudly and aggressively saying:
“No. Only until 1pm.”

Already at this point, the tone and attitude were extremely unpleasant and unnecessary, but the situation became much worse shortly after.

He informed us that the city tax was €6. I calmly replied that I would pay by card. He immediately responded aggressively asking:
“Don’t you have cash?”

I explained politely that I do not carry cash and pay everything by card. Instead of simply processing the payment, he became increasingly angry and insisted repeatedly that we pay in cash. When I calmly repeated that I only wanted to pay by card, he started shouting at me and aggressively told me that I would have to go outside, find cash somewhere, and come back.

At this point both my girlfriend and I were genuinely shocked by the behavior. We had done absolutely nothing disrespectful, were speaking calmly the entire time, and simply wanted to pay legally by card.

The most unacceptable moment happened when he brought us upstairs near an office area where another woman was present, possibly another staff member or his wife.

Eenvoudig verblijf, maar vriendelijke mensen en voldeed aan de verwachting.
Pros:

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Het was een paar trappen op, maar het personeel hielp met de bagage. Eenvoudig hotel, maar voldeed prima voor een kort verblijf. Rustige kamer, geen last van drukke verkeer. Op ca 10 minuten lopen vanaf station Milano Centrale. In de buurt tramlijn 1 (met mooie oude trams) waarmee je het centrum bij de Dom kan bereiken.

Excelente experiencia
Pros:

Muy limpio. Cercano a la estacion de tren Mestre. La amabilidad de Pascuale en la recepcion y en general todo el personal. Absolutamente recomendable !!!

Dobra lokalizacja, ale czystość i standard na niskim poziomie

Dobra lokalizacja, plusem jest balkon oraz względna cisza w pokoju

Cons:

Pokój nie został należycie posprzątany- wszędzie pełno kurzu, na szczęście pościel i ręczniki były czyste. Pokój nie wyglądał jak na zdjęciach, sprawiał wrażenie urządzonego w prowizoryczny sposób ( kaloryfer ledwo trzymał się ściany). Najnowsza była łazienka, ale bardzo tam śmierdziało grzybem, włączenie (głośnego!) wentylatora nic nie pomagało.

Huge character, owners making special effort with cleanliness and extra touches to rooms.
Pros:

The room had a lot of character. It is clear that the owners place a lot of emphasis on cleanliness and making sure the rooms feel welcoming and tasteful. The hotel had small touches which they dont need to have in place, but do anyway, which reflects that it is a family run hotel where they take pride in their hotel and business. It has a very welcoming feeling.
